Round 1. Pacman throws 3 jabs. Clottey in turtle defense. Pacquiao attacks Clottey’s left side… Clottey in peek-a–boo. Pacquiao tests the body. circles away from Clottey’s punches. Pacman lands a big left! wobbles Clottey a bit. Clottey throws a left, Pacman answers with left and right. Not much activity from Clottey in thi round. It was all Pacquiao. Round 1 is done.

Round 2. Pacman tests Clottey’s defense. Throws jabs in the peek-a-boo then suddnely throws a right hand to the body. Clottrey tries to advance but hands still up. tries to trap pacman to the ropes. Pacman wisely circles away. Clottey connects with left the the body. Pacquiao throws big 1-2-3. ‘wobbles’ Clottey. It’s not clear is he’s just taunting the champ. Clottey is clearly waiting for Pacman to tire out. Round 2 is done.

Round 3. Pacquiao opens with spectacular body punches. His punches reverberates throughout the stadium. Clottey throws body punches, too. Pacquiao throws 1-2 to the head, then 1-2 again in the abdomen. Clottey catches Pacman with a right. Pacman rests a bit then presses the action. Beautiful combination to the head and body. Traps Clottey to the corner. Clottey moved away then charged back. Clottey’s hands are always up, he knows that bombs are coming.

Round 4. Clottey walks towards Pacman, still in turtle defense. Pacman circles away, uses the ring while stinging Clottey. Cloteey is not punching, this frustrates pacman. Pacman walsk away a bit. Ref motions the two to engage again. Pacman throws 1-2-3. then 1-2 again, beautiful combos. Clottey is moving just like Roach predicted, the Ghanaian is just waiting for Pacman to tire out. Round 4 is done.

Round 5. Cottey now becomeing aggresive. But Pacman fights back. Clottey throwing 1-2, then launches a big jab. Fighters in a clinch, Clottey misses a right hook. Pacman effectively using his own right hook, Pacman explodes with lighting punches. Clottey retreating. the action returns to the center, then bell rings.

Round 6. Pacman effectively uses the ring circles away from Clottey. then he steps near the ropes inviting Clottey to engage. Clottey throws some punches, then they move to the center. Pacman uses the angles, looking for an opening in Clottey’s defense. Bell rings, Clottey accidentally hit Pacman after the bell but the Filipino merely tapped him back.

Round 7. Clottey tries to attack the body. trapping Pacman at the ropes, Pacman moves away. Pacman patiently chips away Clottey’s defense, inviting the Ghanaian to fight back. Clottey remains in his shell. then suddenly charges with 1-2. Clottey is frugal with his punches. Round 7 ends.

Round 8. Clottey’s handa are up again, then he throwss a double right to the head. Pacman fires back with punches to the body to the head. Clottely then lands a blow just below the belt, ref warns him. Pacman was given a few seconds. fight is on again. Pacman lands a biiig right! Then accidental clash of heads. ‘you ok?’ ref asks the fighters. the fight continues. Near the bell, Clottey lands a low blow again. Pacman reacted, ref breaks them.

Round 9. Pacman scoring combinations, a couple of hooks tot he body then upper and hook to the head. Clottey responded with four hook-combo. Fighters move tot he center then Pacman exploded with big body punches again. three of them apparently jarred Clottey. But Clottey survives.

Round 10. Pacman now has a welt in his right eye. Clottey has bloodied nose. Pacman suddnely lands a beautiful right hook to Clottey’s jaw. Then a body combo, Clottey fights back with as big right. Looks like Clottey was inviting Pacman to throw body punches so he can retaliate with hits to the head. Pacman, however, continues to attack the body. Never giving Clottey a breather for that head punch.

Round 11. Clottey approaches Pacman, Pacman keeps him away with head punches then sidesteps away. Clottey is springing to action, tries to match pacman. Both fighters trading head punches, Clottey steps into Pacman’s defenses sneaks in two uppercuts. Pacman slightly dazed, but fights back. Pacman presses attack chases Clottey to the ropes. Round 11 ends.

12th and final round. Clottey chasing Pacman, lands good left hook. A clash of heads but gthe fight continues. Clottey wants to score a KO, throwing body punches. Pacquiao steps back a second, fired three, then circled away. Clottey landing big left hooks. Clottey now active with punches. But Pacman outpunches him. The final bell approaches. this is going to the score cards, folks… ding!

Donaire leads other Filipino boxers Gerry Peñalosa, Bernabe Concepcion, Mark Melligen, and Ciso Morales in the action-packed boxing event “Pinoy Power 3,” to be broadcast live from the Las Vegas Hilton, USA on ABS-CBN at 10:30am.

“The Filipino Flash” will defend his WBA superflyweight interim belt against dangerous Manuel “Chango” Vargas of Mexico, who almost beat Filipino Donnie Nietes in a fight last year.

Donaire broke out in the international boxing scene in 2007 after his devastating knockout of then flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan. Since then, it has been all wins for the US based slugger. In fact he is the second highest ranked Asian boxer in the world pound for pound list, which is ruled by boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao.

Like Pacquiao, Donaire has also appeared in Philippine TV. His first foray in television was as a guest commentator for boxing matches aired by ABS-CBN Sports, where he articulately analyzed the fights as they happened. Now, Donaire is back in ABS-CBN Sports as part of the main event of “Pinoy Power 3.”

“Pinoy Power 3” is one of many boxing events lined up to be aired on ABS-CBN through a partnership between Top Rank and ABS-CBN Sports.

Don’t miss the Filipino boxers’ quest for glory against Latin fighters Eric Morel, Mario Santiago, Raymond Gatica, and Fernando Montiel on Sunday (Feb 14), 10:30am on ABS-CBN with a delayed telecast on Studio 23 at 11:30am. Also catch “Pinoy Power 3” on Balls Skycable ch. 34 on February 16 at 4pm and February 18 at 9pm.

The jam-packed card will be broadcast live from Las Vegas, USA this Sunday (Feb 14), 10:30am on ABS-CBN, through a partnership between boxing promotion company Top Rank and ABS-CBN Sports.

Donaire will defend his WBA superflyweight interim champion title against knockout artist Gerson “El Nene” Guerrero in his third “Pinoy Power” fight. “I’m really committed in just going for it and not thinking about all the other stuff,” Donaire said in an interview with Steve Kim of MaxBoxing.com.

The Ring Magazine’s top six pound-for-pound boxer previously dominated Mexican Raul Martinez in April 2009 and dismantled Rafael “El Torito” Concepcion” of Panama three months after.

Former WBO featherweight contender Bernabe Concepcion, meanwhile, is ready to get back on track after a heartbreaking disqualification in the previous “Pinoy Power” last August due to a late blow he threw against Steven Luevano.

Concepcion, who is training hard in the Wild Card Gym for his fight against Mario Santiago, aims to follow the footsteps of his manager Manny Pacquiao. “It’s great to be training with him. When we get to share the ring, he teaches me footwork and gives me tips in fighting,” Concepcion shared during an interview by ABS-CBN sports correspondent Dyan Castillejo for “TV Patrol World.”

Ring veteran Gerry Peñalosa also takes inspiration from Pacquiao, his friend and idol. The 37-year-old pugilist is confident he can still win his third belt by first defeating Eric Morel in an eliminator. Undefeated Ciso “Kid Terrible” Morales, on the other hand, is fighting for his first title as he challenges Fernando “Cochulito” Montiel for the WBO bantamweight championship on Sunday (Feb 14).

Also fighting in the undercard is Filipino Mark Melligen who will battle undefeated Texan Raymond Gatica.

Watch the Filipino boxers’ quest for glory on ABS-CBN Sports’ “Pinoy Power 3” on Sunday (Feb 14), 10:30am on ABS-CBN with a delayed telecast on Studio 23 at 11:30am. Also catch “Pinoy Power 3” on Balls Skycable ch. 34 on February 16 at 4pm and February 18 at 9pm.

GMA Network and Solar Entertainment will continue to air Manny Pacquiao’s future fights on free TV and cable — this includes any future fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. or any other opponent to be faced by the world’s pound for pound king.

The Kapuso Network and Solar Sports have a long-term deal in airing the Pinoy boxing sensation’s fights, and this partnership will continue as the Pacman has signed a new contract with Solar, which gives the latter the rights to broadcast his fights until 2013.

In an exclusive interview with GMA sports correspondent Chino Trinidad, Solar Entertainment President Wilson Tieng confirmed Pacquiao’s signing of a renewal contract with their company. “A few months ago, (Manny) renewed his contract. So, Solar’s contract with Pacquiao is up to 2013. Hindi lang ito na-publicize,” Tieng said.

Tieng’s announcement comes at the heels of speculation that Pacquiao’s fights may be aired over another channel , after reports on the arrival of Top Rank President Bob Arum in Manila. Arum is in the Philippines to personally talk to Pacquiao regarding his possible bout with Mayweather, Jr.

“I am here to meet with Manny. I wanna see what is possible and what is not possible. But in the end I am confident we can come up with something,” Arum said in an exclusive interview with GMA sports correspondent Chino Trinidad.

With Pacquiao set to run for a congressional seat, Top Rank’s CEO admitted that the boxing superstar has his hands full as of the moment. But the Pacquiao-Mayweather Fight is something that refuses to be sidelined, as clamor for the bout reached unprecedented heights after Pacquiao gave Puerto Rican boxing superstar Miguel Cotto a 12-round beating last November.

“I think it is the fight everyone is talking about. It goes back to the days when Ali fought Frazier for the first time in Madison Square. I want to talk to Manny and will proceed from there,” Arum further intimated.

Should the Pacquiao-Mayweather Fight, which experts have been calling the “Fight of the Century”, push through, viewers will be able to watch it for free on GMA Network and Solar Sports.

“We are tied up with Manny until 2013. Whether against Mayweather or whoever else, Solar will still have the airing rights for the Philippines. With our partnership, we’ll still air the fights on GMA and Solar TV”, said Solar Entertainment COO Peter Chanliong.
