Sleepless in Singapore

Singapore is indeed a unique country. It is made up of not just one island but a main island with 63 surrounding islets. The main island has a total land area of 682 square km.
However, its compact size belies its economic growth. It is the busiest port in the world with over 600 shipping lines sending super tankers, container ships and passenger liners to share the busy waters with coastal fishing vessels and wooden lighters.
Singapore’s strategic location, excellent facilities, fascinating cultural contrasts and tourist attractions contribute to its success as a leading destination for both business and pleasure. There are exciting attractions at daytime and exquisite events at night that will keep you sleepless throughout your tour.
Sentosa Island – Day 1 Part 2 of our Singapore Trip

Good morning guys! Yesterday afternoon our service van brought us to the bus station where we will meet our Indian tourist guide. The bus brought us to the Harbour Front Tower where we will ride a cable car to bring us to Sentosa island. The cable car is definitely one of the highlights in our Singapore trip because from there you can see almost the whole Singapore in a bird’s eye view. The sceneries were breathtaking. We are basically 60 to 90 meters above sea level while we are in the cable car crossing the Singapore Cruise Center, some jungle and water.
In Sentosa Island, we went to a museum/theater called “Images of Singapore” showcasing the history of the Lion City. Afterwards, we checked out the very popular “Underwater World.” It’s like being inside a large aquarium together with the sharks, sting rays, dugongs and different kinds of fishes and marine animals. At 7:45 we watched an outdoor musical called “Songs of the Sea.” The musical showcased state-of-the art waterworks, fireworks, and hologram graphics that i’ve never seen in my life. The show was spectacular!
We got back to the hotel at 9:30 p.m.

We had a river cruise this morning as the first part of our city tour. What can i say? Singapore is simply breathtaking. Kahit saang anggulo ka tumingin, ang ganda ng makikita mo. Definitely one of the cleanest cities in the world.
Check out some photos that i snapped during the river cruise….
