November 6, 2009 by cd · Comments Off
Katorse stars Enchong Dee and Ejay Falcon may be foes in their primetime series but the two are really good friends off cam.
Enchong expressed.
Both actors added that they want to keep their fans united when it comes to supporting their series. Sana lang din yung mga fans namin ma-realize na kaya successful ang Katorse ay hindi lang dahil sa isang tao, Ejay said. Enchong on the other hand added, Lahat kasi nagtutulungan para mapaganda yung show. Hindi lang isang person ang accountable sa matataas na ratings na nakukuha ng Katorse. Teamwork talaga ang key.
Meanwhile, on the next episodes of Katorse, Tomi, Nenes (Erich Gonzales) son is diagnosed with Dengue. Doctors require direct blood transfusion. Gabby (Ejay), who is normally scared of hospitals and needles, offers himself but tests prove that he is not qualified. Nene calls Jojo (Enchong) for help, but upon seeing him, Gabby drives Jojo away. A confrontation between Gabby and Nene happens and in the middle of their argument, Nene notices Tomis monitor registering an erratic line.
Will Tomi survive? Find out as Katorse peaks up this week after Precious Hearts Romances on ABS-CBN.

‘The Correspondents’ Bares Connection of Ondoy Floods to Urban Planning
November 3, 2009 by cd · Comments Off
More than a month after typhoon Ondoy devastated Metro Manila and nearby provinces, some areas remain flooded up to this day. Lawmakers say one reason for this is poor urban planning. Dominic Almelor uncovers the connection of urban planning to flood this Tuesday (Nov 3), on “The Correspondents.”
Lupang Arenda in Taytay, one of the biggest places populated by illegal settlers, remains submerged under flood water. Every day, residents have to ride boats to go to work. At night, families have to share a small dry portuins inside their houses to be able to sleep and eat away from flood water.
Officials said that illegal settling is one the main causes of flooding, as canals and other water pathways are blocked by houses built in an area. The problem is that the occupants don’t want to leave the area because they don’t have anywhere else to go.
Learn about other issues tackled in the program at http://thecorrespondents.multiply.com. Join Dominic Almelor as he uncovers the condition of people living in flood waters on “The Correspondents,” this Tuesday night (Nov 3) after “Bandila’ on ABS- CBN.
