There were rumors that circulated last August right after the premiere episode of Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown saying that Moi Marcampo, better known as the former yaya of Piolo Pascual, is the winner of the Kapuso reality show.

These rumors are now shattered as Moi was voted off in last night’s episode of Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown and became the 6th member of the jury.

The final four who will battle for the title are Aubrey Miles, Akihiro Sato, Ervic Vijandre and Solenn Heusaff.

Alix had the tough job directing male models Akihiro Sato, Daniel Matsunaga, Fabio Ide, Rocky Salumbides, Lemuel Pelayo, Don Mendoza, Jubail Andres, Aaron Tuiza, and Kerbie Zamora in their major acting project.

D’Survivors is a story about male supermodels who survived a plane crash and get trapped in an island. They say it’s a spoof of Joey Gosiengfiao‘s clasic 1980 film called “Temptation Island.”

D’Survivors is set to be shown in selected theaters soon.

Darna, the country’s original Pinay superhero, faces another set of super villains that will put all her strength and powers to the test as the program enters its newest season this December on GMA Telebabad.

Starring Primetime Queen Marian Rivera as Darna, the country’s number one telefantasya continues to cater to all viewers of all ages with its remarkable stunts and adventures laced with touching storyline plus state-of-the-art effects.

After repossessing all her powers from her previous supervillains, Darna’s adventures will be more engaging as four more terrifying super creatures are about to wreak havoc every night – Serpina, Babaeng Manananggal, Babaeng Demonyita and Electra, the Queen of Planet Women.

Serpina, portrayed by Katrina Halili, is the daughter of Kobra and Babaeng Impakta. After her half-sister Valentina disappeared, Serpina has no choice but to fulfill her father’s wish – that is to multiply their race. Just like her half-sister, Serpina will also fall for Darna’s first love Eduardo (Mark Anthony Fernandez). She will do everything to get the man’s attention and get rid of Narda, the alter-ego of Darna.

Sexbomb Rochelle Pangilinan, meanwhile, will play the role of ferocious Babaeng Manananggal. She will disguise as Dr. Deborrah during the day to easily spot pregnant women and other possible victims in town then transforms as an ugly winged monster at night. Deborrah holds a secret that is the key to unveil the past of Ding, the only person who knows the real identity of Darna.

Starstruck Batch 3 Ultimate survivor Jackie Rice, on the other hand, plays the character of Helga, a young woman who holds the most beautiful and angelic face in town. Unfortunately, she will be possessed by a powerful evil spirit with extreme wrath and fury that will make her the supervillain called Babaeng Demonyita.

A handsome foreigner will suddenly appear in the small town of San Martin. His name is Vladimir played by Celebrity Duets 3 finalist Akihiro Sato. But behind his godlike features is a wicked and vicious vampire who is out to kill innocent people.

The battle between good and evil continues with the arrival of the most powerful nemesis Darna could ever have – Electra, the Queen of Planet Women. Portrayed no less than by the Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, Electra is a queen from a different planet who has an incredible strength and power out to conquer the earth with the help of her stalwart female legions.

Aside from Darna, two people close to the Pinay superhero’s heart are exerting their efforts to keep peace and order in the society – Pancho (Dennis Trillo), the lighthearted and principled policeman, and Black Rider (Mark Anthony Fernandez), the mysterious vigilant. Both young men will pursue the same woman – Narda.

Moshi Moshi, I Love You! is the latest chapter of SRO Cinemaserye to premiere this Thursday night, October 15. It is helmed by Andoy Ranay and written by Jun Lana.

The mini-series is topbilled by Akihiro Sato who will play the role of a popular Japanese Celebrity. His love interest is Rufa Mae Quinto, who plays the role of his die-hard fan. Rufa Mae will join and eventually win a contest and her prize is a date with the stunning male model.

Also starring on this episode are Alicia Mayer, Mosang, and Ricci Chan.

Last year, Marian Rivera and Piolo Pascual were launched as the official endorsers of Blue Water Day Spa. Last month, the wellness hub introduced new faces to the public: Karylle and the Japanese-Brazilian model Akihiro Sato.

Karylle knew that being the new female endorser of Blue Water Day Spa will ignite some intrigues because she once had a rift with the former endorser Marian Rivera. It has been a hot story in showbizlandia late last year that Marian Rivera is the third party behind Karylle’s break-up with former boyfriend Dingdong Dantes.

Karylle is quick to explain that her selection for being the endorser of the spa Marian once endorsed was attributable to her faithfulness to the spa.

“I’m sure there were some who will add color to it, but I’ve been going to Water Day Spa for about four years. I was not afraid to face intrigues, ngayon pa after all that had happened! And there’s really nothing to fear,” she said.

The Japanese-Brazilian has invaded Philippine ramps. Now that he’s one of us, his next move is for television and even the movies!

Today, we hear the usual story of a Pinoy, forced by circumstance, leaves home and settles in a land far from his loved ones to seek for greener pastures and escape poverty. But the story of Akihiro Sato is just the opposite.

Akihiro Macieira Sato, born September 12, 1986, is a Japanese-Brazilian model who started hitting the ramps in Brazil and then in Thailand. But this stunner fell in love with the Philippines that he decided to settle here for good.

Barely a year in the Philippines and already he’s been snagged by Penshoppe for a campaign, ramps assignments here and there, tv guestings and now, the local film industry is also struck with the “Aki Fever.” Aki has just signed on for his first acting assignment, an indie film called “Handumanan.”

Because he is so in demand, Aki is studying the local language in University of the Philippines (UP). There are reports that he only rides a bus and MRT from his condominium unit in Makati to UP Diliman. He’s definitely one of us!

At heart, Aki is a humanist and an idealist who recoils at the sight of street children side by side with the filthy rich. It is something that this rising star could not, and would rather not, get used to.
