Ayon kay Alex mabait na kaibigan si Mo at nalulungkot ang dalaga sa pagalis nito.

“Namimis-interpret lang ng mga tao si Mo kasi offcam mabait talaga siya. He’s very sweet…kung ano man ang iniisip ng mga tao, you really have to know the person first” kuwento nya sa amin.

Meanwhile, after her successful stint in Babaeng Hampslupa, may bagong teleserye si Alex sa TV5, ang PS I Love You.

Si Alex ang tinaguriang “drama princess” ng TV5 at dito na halos nagsimula ang kanyang career. Mula naman ng una siyang gumawa ng project sa istasyon ay nagsunod sunod na ang kanyang mga blessings at ganda ng takbo ng kanyang career.

Pampaganda at pampakinis ng kutis ang ine-endorse na bagong produkto ni Alex, ang YSA Botanica. Napakaganda ni Alex, pwede siyang beauty queen kung tutuusin.

This is the comparison made by Juicy! host Shalala to his co-host Alex Gonzaga during one of the episodes of the TV5′s late night showbiz talk show. But kidding aside, the comparison is legit because Alex is now making a name for herself since she started her hosting stint on TV5 in as early as 2008.

Alex Gonzaga, born Catherine Cruz Gonzaga on January 16, 1988, was first known as the young sister of the Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga.

Her first television appearance was on ABS-CBN’s youth oriented program “Let’s Go” where she played the role of “Alex.” It was followed by more shows like “Go Kada Go,” “Pangarap na Bituin,” “Tiny Tony,” and two episodes of the weekly drama anthology “Your Song.”

However, it was her role as Christine in the primetime teleserye “My Girl” that started to catch the televiewers’ attention to Alex’s capability as an actress. Although she only played a supporting role to Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson in the said series, it opened the door for Alex to not just be known as Toni Gonzaga’s younger sister but to start a name for herself.

In 2008, Alex Gonzaga‘s hosting skills were showcased when ABC-5 (now TV5) acquired her service to host their showbiz talk show Juicy! She was later joined by IC Mendoza and now with Cristy Fermin, Mo Twister and Shalala.

Aside from hosting Juicy!, Alex also did comedy on TV5 via the shows “Lokomoko High” and “Everybody Hapi.” She also became one of the hosts of the Sunday musical variety show “P05″ and the co-host for “Big Shot Jackpot.”

In 2010, Alex was paired with Kean Cipriano in the weekly rom-com “BFGF.” She also continued doing comedy via “Lokomoko U.”

But it was her title role in “Babaeng Hampaslupa” earlier this year that made Alex the “rising star” of the Kapatid Network. In the heavy drama primetime series, Alex came full circle as she reveals that she’s not only good for hosting and comedy shows but also in drama as well. It was her role as Grace Mallari/Elizabeth Wong in “Babaeng Hampaslupa” that she was being dubbed as the Marian Rivera of TV5.

As she gains more followers, Alex is now ready to conquer the big screen as she signed a movie contract with Viva Films. Her first movie is going to be helmed by no less than the box-office director Wenn Deramas and it’s going to be a romantic comedy.

Another proof that Alex’s fan base is getting stronger and stronger is the fact that she was voted into the Top 20 of Starmometer’s online poll for this year’s “100 Most Beautiful Women in the Philippines.”

As the pioneer artist of TV5, Alex has a new primetime series beginning this Monday, November 21, titled “PS I Love You.” The new teleserye is a continuation of Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion‘s 1981 blockbuster hit movie of the same title. Alex will play the role of Andrea, the daughter of Sharon Cuneta‘s character–Kristine–which is now being portrayed by Dina Bonnevie.

Meanwhile, Alex is also taking Humanities with Special Education in spite of her busy schedule. She’s now finishing her last semester for graduation.

Next year, there will be no stopping Alex Gonzaga. She’s definitely one of the stars to watch for. And to sum it up, she’s no longer known as “Toni Gonzaga’s little sister.” She’s Alex Gonzaga, the rising star and TV5′s best bet for 2012.

PS I Love You, the movie that further pinned Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta to stardom, is given new life as it premieres as TV5’s newest primetime dramaserye on November 21.

TV5’s PS I Love You is a sequel to the original ‘80s movie. Mark (Gabby Concepcion) and Kristine (now portrayed by Dina Bonnevie) didn’t have a happy ending to their love story after all, and they now live separate lives with families of their own. What they thought was their greatest love was left behind. But as fate would have it, their paths would cross again and the memories they wish to bury resurface.

The dramaserye takes off from Mark and Kristine’s supposed wedding day, where the latter doesn’t show up. Mark finds out later that Kristine accepted the marriage proposal of a wealthy businessman.

Mark tries to move on from his sad fate and works his way to become a billionaire investment banker. Kristine, on the other hand, is happily married with two kids, but her picture-perfect life crumbles upon the death of her husband. As their businesses dwindle and their family stands on the brink of bankruptcy, Kristine’s daughter Andrea (Alex Gonzaga) steps up to save their remaining livelihood. Despite the tremendous responsibility she has to bear for her family, she derives motivation and inspiration from Jason (Kean Cipriano), a struggling musician who loves her with all his heart.

Upon the advice of their relatives, Andrea decides to sell their company to an investor who would be interested in resuscitating the business. Unknown to Andrea, the man interested in buying their company is Mark, an old flame of her mother and her one great love.

This starts another chapter in the lives of Mark and Kristine. As love blossoms between their children – Mark’s son Paul (AJ Muhlach) and Kristine’s other daughter Candice (Nadine Lustre) – they move heaven and earth to keep them apart. However, Paul and Candice struggle to fight for the love despite all odds.

Cristy Fermin was fuming mad last Sunday sa Paparrazi after the video was shown. Mo Twister defended Marian saying “…huwag na lang ipalaki [yung issue]…yung kay Bayani agree ako dun kasi siyempre snubbing moment ‘yun kasi may intriga naman siya, may bad experience.”

Cristy Fermin refused to keep mum on the issue. Sa halip ay nag-iwan siya ng matalinghagang pangungusap:

“Itong scenario na ito ay nagsalita sa bentahe nina Alex Gonzaga at Bayani Agbayani. Nakita natin kung sino ang pwedeng sabunutan na may masasabunot ka at kung sino ang huwag mong papatulan dahil mahirap sumabunot ng kalbo,” ang statement niya.

Cristy Fermin revealed on Juicy! last night that Toni Gonzaga and Charlene Gonzales will serve as the replacement of Kris Aquino on The Buzz. She also divulged that Jobert Sucaldito and Phoemela Barranda will now be in the field and leave the studio. So The Buzz will now have three female hosts–KC Concepcion, Toni Gonzaga and Charlene Gonzales and one male host, Boy Abunda.

Coincidentally, TV5′s showbiz talk show “Paparazzi” has three female hosts and one male host–Cristy Fermin, Ruffa Gutierrez, Dolly Anne Carvajal and Mo Twister.

Cristy asked his Juicy! co-panelist and Pararazzi co-host Mo Twister for his reaction.

DJ Mo replied, “Imitation is the best form of flattery.”

Cristy then aired her opinion on the matter: “Ako ayoko namang magpaka-plastic, kami naman po talaga ang nauna sa ganung format.”

Alex Gonzaga interupted her for a while by saying: “May presscon express na rin daw po sila nanay, may mga reporters na magtatanong na rin.”

Cristy continued, “At may mga opinyon na rin sila, magbibigay ng mga opinyon. Kami, kini-claim namin na kami ang nauna pero hindi namin ikinukulong ang karapatan ng iba na pwede rin nilang gawin ‘yon kaya ang tanong, sino ba ang nauna? Siyempre Paparazzi ‘yon di ba?…Mag-oopinionate sila ngayon di ba, good luck! Sana ‘yung mga opinyon ay maibigay ‘yung dapat.”
