From the director of Pretty Woman comes a star-studded romantic movie featuring ten stories of different people on Valentine’s Day in Los Angeles, whichl are linked in some way.

Valentines Day is written by Abby Kohn and Mark Silverstein and directed by Gary Marshall for New Line Cinema (Warner Brothers).

Although there is no consensus in the Best Picture category that even the animated film Wall-E and the superhero movie The Dark Knight each won a critic award for Best Picture, the critics seem to have been united in other categories.

As you can see, the ones with the most number of wins are Danny Boyle as Best Director for “Slumdog Millionaire,” Anne Hathaway as Best Actress in “Rachel Getting Married” (she plays Rachel’s drug addictred sister) and Sean Penn as Best Actor in “Milk” (he plays the first openly gay public official to be elected in California).

So mark those names (Danny Boyle, Anne Hattaway and Sean Penn) as they will be the front-runners in the 2009 Academy Awards.

On the other hand, it was Christian Bale’s “The Dark Knight” which ranked-in the most box-office money as it was hailed as the no. 1 movie in America for 2008 but Bale was only ranked third by Quigley this year. The Dark Knight earned a whopping 1 billion US dollars worldwide as of this writing.

Princess Diaries star Anne Hattaway was named a star of tomorrow, along with Chris Pine, who appeared in “Bottle Shock” and will play Captain Kirk in 2009’s “Star Trek” movie.
