After months of conceptualizing the perfect cast for the Tagalog version of the popular Colombian telenovela Betty La Fea, ABS-CBN has finally rounded out its cast for the sure-fire hit comedy.
Bea Alonzo was finally chosen by the ABS-CBN management to play the lead role of the Philippine adaptation of the hit Colombian tv series “Betty La Fea”. The news was confirmed by Wenn Deramas, director of such movies as Tanging Ina and Ang Cute ng Ina Mo, who will also helm the Philippine version of “Ugly Betty”.
Last February 29, we started a poll about who do you want to play the controversial role of “Betty La Fea“, the local version of the popular Colombian tv series to be aired on ABS-CBN. With 479 respondents, 20% think Bea Alonzo is the one appropriate for the role. On the other hand, Regine Velasquez is just 1% behind Bea as 19% favored Asia’s Songbird.
