Beyonce Knowles surprised everyone during her arrival at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2011 red carpet that she’s pregnant.

Beyonce showed up at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles wearing a loose fitting orange dress, holding her visible baby bump as she posed on the red carpet and chat with the press.

“I have a surprise!” the 29-year-old singer said. And she just hold her tummy and it instantly became one of the highlights of this year’s VMAs.

Beyonce performed her song “Love on Top”, then proudly rubbed her baby bump and told the crowd: “I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside of me.”

“Now I’m a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage. I can decide I want to have kids. I can be the mother I want to be and dedicate myself to my children,” she added.

The child will be the first for Beyonce and her husband, rapper Jay-Z, who married in 2008.

Beyonce also ignored the rumors that a party planner and music video director was trying to lure away her husband from her.

According to reports, the party planner, Vashtei Kola, was being linked to Jay-Z after the woman reportedly had some business dealings with him and “told” friends she was trying to lure him away from Beyonce.

But the power couple are happily married for 3 years and now that they are expecting their first child, rumors like this just won’t affect them a bit, according to a veteran Beyonce-Jay-Z source. They have a speculation that some tabloid reporters are just milking the rumors just like what they did to Will and Jada Smith last week.

The music video for “1+1″ was directed by Beyonce Knowles herself alongside Lauren Briet and Ed Burke. It recently premiered on Beyonce’s official website and was described as “…the story of love at its best. It’s about commitment and fulfillment and it’s Beyoncé at her most beautiful. The video experiments with psychedelic visual effects and innovative lighting that gives the clip a cinematic feel.”

The music video for “Best Thing I Never Had” was directed by Diane Martel, and was shot in Westchester County and Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Apparently, Knowles will not be the one playing the prom queen in the music video. Knowles said that “not being prom queen in the video reminded her of how she never wore the coveted tiara at her own high school dance.” However, she added that it was indeed “weird” not to have her real father, Mathew Knowles, walk her down the aisle in the wedding scene, which was shot in a Sleepy Hollow country club, because she was escorted down the aisle by her father when she wed Jay-Z in April 2008.

But instead of immersing herself in the biggest victory of the night, she gave the spotlight to Taylor Swift:

“Thank you. I remember being 17-years-old, up for my first MTV Award with Destiny’s Child and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life. So I’d like Taylor [Swift] to come out and have her moment,” she said.

Taylor came out and hugged Beyonce. She finally got her moment and saying, “I’d like to thank all the fans on Twitter and MySpace and everyone who came out to my shows this summer. Thank you so much!”

Taylor and Beyonce hugged again after Taylor’s speech.

Thanks to Kanye, both Taylor and Beyonce surely gained more fans after the incident.
