Shia LaBeouf (Transformers, Indiana Jones 4) tops Forbes’ list of actors offering studios the most return on investment. USA’s Box Office King for 2009, if you must.

The 23-year-old heartthrob earned relatively small salaries in films that grossed hundreds of millions of dollars. For every dollar he was paid, LaBeouf’s movies returned an average $160 for the studio.

Forbes compiled a list of stars who command a high salary but whose movies are box office flops. Comedian Will Ferrell leads the Top 10.

According to Forbes, Ferrell’s films in the last 12 months earn an average of $3.29 for every dollar he was paid. His last film “Land of the Lost” made $49,392,095.00 but the film’s production cost is $100 million making it a major flop for a big-budget summer event film.

Forbes released its annual list of “Hollywood’s Top-Earning Actresses” and this year, Angelina Jolie zoomed to no. 1 from no. 10 last year with an estimated earnings of $27 million in the last 12 months.

Jennifer Aniston, on the other hand, came in second with $25 million earnings in the last 12 months. And what do the no. 1 and no. 2 top earning actresses in Hollywood have in common? Brad Pitt of course.

Jolie starred in the movies Wanted, Changeling and a voice over in the animated film Kung Fu Panda. Aniston, on the other hand, starred in He’s Just Not That Into You and Marley & Me.

Manny Pacquiao is Among Forbes’ Highest Paid Athletes in the World

After being named Fighter of the Year by the Boxing Writers Association of America, our very own Manny Pacquiao is now among Forbes’ highest-paid athletes.

Pacquiao debuted in the Forbes list at no. 6 for earning $40 million in the past 12 months. He is the highest ranked newcomer joining sports icons like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and David Beckham.

Pacman is tied with 2009 NBA Most Valuable Player LeBron James and golfer Phil Mickelson who also raked in $40 million last year.

The People’s Champ also debuted in the recent “Forbes Celebrity 100” list topped by Angelina Jolie. The list named the 100 most powerful celebrities in the world.

In addition, Pacquiao also debuted in Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People” this year after receiving more than 20 million online votes. He was ranked 22nd in the list even though he received the most number of votes.

Maintaining the title of World’s highest-paid athlete is Tiger Woods with $110 million in the last 12 months.

Sharing the list’s second spot are Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and Kimi Raikkonen with $45 million.

Placing 5th is superstar David Beckham with $42 million while at no. 9 is motorcycle racer Valentino Rossi with $35 million. Completing the Top 10 with $34 million is Nascar driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.

In the latest tally of Forbes, Cameron Diaz is the new highest paid actress in Hollywood beating Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston.

The former Charlie’s Angels star reportedly earned $50 million for her roles in “Shrek” and the romantic comedy “What Happens in Vegas” (opposite Ashton Kutcher).

She beats other fellow competitor Keira Knightly, who is famous for playing in “Pirates of the Caribbean” and has earned $32 million, into the second position.

Last year’s no. 1, Reese Witherspoon, is now ranked at no. 4 with $25 million earnings, and one notch behind former “Friends” star Jennifer Aniston.
