Stairway to Heaven continues to win the hearts of television audiences, which has translated to the program’s consistent success in primetime TV ratings.

Based on overnight TV ratings data from AGB Nielsen Philippines’ for Mega Manila last November 12, Stairway to Heaven led all primetime programs with a household rating of 36.4%. The episode highlighted the very touching union of sweethearts Cholo and Jodi who have been separated for a long time.

Since its debut last September 14, the drama series has charmed and tantalized viewers with its beautiful storyline, excellent actors and high production values. The effective portrayal of the actors who have very well elicited their emotions and acting prowess is also commendable.

Stairway to Heaven’s rave reviews from viewers only proves that GMA does not only excel in producing telefantasyas, but can also mount such beautiful traditional drama series.

This week, viewers will witness more shocking twists and revelations in the love story of Cholo and Jodi. As Jodi’s memory returns, Cholo confronts Charlie, and ends his engagement with Eunice. This angers Eunice and Maita, who eventually connive with Tristan to ruin their relationship. Eunice tries to manipulate the situation, even announcing on national TV that she and Cholo will get married.

Will Eunice’s evil plans prevail? As she connives with Tristan, will Jodi’s life once more in peril?

Stairway to Heaven airs weeknights right after Darna on GMA Telebabad.

GMA Network will air the highly-anticipated WBO Welterweight championship fight between pound-for-pound king Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao and Puerto Rican champion Miguel Cotto on November 15.

Coverage for the fight dubbed, Firepower: Pacquiao vs. Cotto, that will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, will start at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

With GMA Network’s superior signal and reach all over the country, viewers will be able to watch and enjoy the upcoming Pacquiao-Cotto match clearly and for free.

In addition, GMA Network’s Radio Group – Super Radyo DZBB, Brgy. LS-FM and RGMA – has teamed-up exclusively with Solar Sports so that radio listeners can also follow the fight via a live blow-by-blow account over DZBB, LS-FM, and through all Super Radyo, Campus Radio and RGMA stations nationwide.

Prior to D-Day, the Kapuso Network will air the HBO produced special – Pacquiao/Cotto 24/7, that will extensively chronicle the respective training of Pinoy Pride Pacquiao and Puerto Rican bomber Cotto for their November 15 fight in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao/Cotto 24/7 will air on Saturday, 10:50pm.

The special will also serve as the perfect lead-in to Firepower: Pacquiao vs. Cotto – The Primer produced by GMA News at 10am on Sunday, an hour before the much-awaited fight unravels.

Firepower: Pacquiao vs. Cotto is one boxing spectacle of epic proportions, with the question as to who will emerge victorious remains unknown, what with both fighters packing mean punches and impressive credentials tucked under their respective belts.

Boxing’s No. 1 pound-for-pound king and the reigning Fighter of the Year, Pacquiao, tots with him a 49-3-2, win-loss-draw record, 37 of which came via stoppages. He has won six world titles in as many different weight divisions, the most recent of which was his arresting one-punch, second-round knockout of junior welterweight champion Ricky Hatton last May 2.

Cotto’s resume is just as impressive. He has lost only one controversial bout in 34 fights with 27 knockouts. Touted as Puerto Rico’s most exciting fighter, Cotto has held a world title every year since 2004 – the WBO junior welterweight crown from 2004-2006, successfully defending it six times before vacating it to capture the World Boxing Association (WBA) welterweight title at the end of 2006. He went on to snatch his second welterweight title last February, after knocking out Michael Jennings in the fifth round at Madison Square Garden to become the WBO Welterweight champion.

It’s one nail-biting match that will surely keep every Pinoy at the edge of their seats. Don’t miss, Firepower: Pacquiao vs. Cotto, this Saturday, 11a.m. only on GMA Network.

Amanda Colley Van Cooll outwitted, outplayed, and outlasted her fellow Finalists to bag the prestigious title of Pinoy Sole Survivor in the recently concluded edition of Survivor Philippines: Palau.

Amanda bested transsexual “Beauty Queen” Justine Ferrer and “Girl-Next-Door” Jef Gaitan based on the votes casted by the seven members of the jury.

During the merge, Amanda showed off her strength by winning individual immunity and reward challenges in succession.

To make it to the Final Three, Amanda beat Charles de Vera Fernandez in the tie-breaker face-off challenge during the tension-filled tribal council.

The truest match happened among the Final Three upon their return to the Philippines. Until this Friday’s Live Finale, it remained a big question as to whoever the jury favored.

Even program host Paolo Bediones was clueless of the results till the announcement of the last vote casted.

In the end, Amanda got four votes out of seven. She won the P3 million pot money, tax-free and the most prestigious title – Pinoy Sole Survivor.

Amanda plans to use her cash prize to build a house for her parents and to run a poultry farm in Mindoro.

Don’t miss the Survivor Philippines: Palau the Reunion this Sunday, November 15 on SNBO after Show Me The Manny.

Richard Gutierrez and Heart Evangelista along with other members of the cast and crew of GMA-Network’s highly-anticipated primetime series FULL HOUSE are off to Prague, Czech Republic to shoot several sequences essential to its storyline.

This brewing romantic-comedy, which is a remake of the well-loved Koreanovela twice shown on the network, will premiere on GMA Telebabad on November 30.

Everyone is excited to experience the cold climate and witness famous cultural attractions in one of Eastern Europe’s most beautiful cities. Known for its majestic architectural structures, Prague is the perfect location to shoot Full House as it aspires to achieve that high-end and sophisticated look on the small screen.

Likewise, the cast is busy preparing themselves for their roles – immersing themselves in their characters, dressing the part, and repeatedly watching the original version just to make sure that everything is done to the letter.

Richard, he says, is eager to play a character so unlike his roles in his previous shows because for the first time in a long time, he will play an actual human being. Here, he plays Justin (originally played by Rain), an egotistic actor who prefers to keep his feelings all to himself. Heart, on the other hand, is just as excited to unveil all of her comic and perky side as Jessie (originally played by Song Hye Kyo), the gullible, fun-loving wannabe of a writer who owns a house called Full House. Patrick Garcia and Isabel Oli will play Jessie and Justin’s love interests in the story.

This is the second time that Richard and Heart are paired up with each other. Their first project, Codename: Asero, turned out to be a consistent winner in the primetime race.

Full House is directed by Mark A. Reyes and will soon be spreading love weeknights on GMA Telebabad.

During last Wednesday’s episode, Amanda Colley Van Cooll won over Charles de Vera Fernandez in the first tie-breaker/face-off challenge that transpired in the Tribal Council. Charles became the last member of the jury.

Tonight, the final three face the jury in one explosive and exciting Tribal Council.

The most witty. Jef. Despite losing in a series of physical challenges, and being among the most emotional castaways, she managed to secure a spot in the top three through linking with and debunking her alliances. Will her wit be enough to convince the jury that she is rightful for the title Pinoy Sole Survivor?

The strongest. Amanda. She outplayed her Sonsoral tribemates in most of the individual reward and immunity challenges. She showed her utmost strength and beat Charles during the last tie-breaker challenge. The win gave her a spot in the Top Three. Will her strength be enough to draw votes from the jury?

The most enduring. Justine. The first castaway to be booted out of the game. And yet, she lasted in the Isla Purgatoryo, joined the merge, and even won a spot in the Top Three. Will Justine convince the jury that she deserves the most coveted title? Or will she instead lose to competitors due to the callous comments she made during the last Tribal Council?

Will it be Jef Gaitan, Amanda Colley Van Cooll or Justine Ferrer?

Don’t miss the final face off between the Top Three and the jury in the last Tribal Council.

Witness the Live Grand Finale that will bring triumph to the Pinoy Sole Survivor this Friday, November 13, and the Reunion Special to be aired over SNBO timeslot this Sunday after Show Me The Manny over GMA Network.
