The girl, named Kana, bested ten thousand other fans in the Japanese comedy show Snama Akashiya’s “Karakuri Terebi.” She flew to the UK and was able to meet, talk and touch her idols Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley).

According to Click the City, the figure represents the all-time biggest four-day opening weekend in Philippine history beating the previous record of P103.87 million hauled by Transformers in 2007.

The Half-Blood Prince is also the fastest in the franchise to hit P100 million (the mark for a box-office hit in the Philippines), the fastest time. It reached P100 million in four days outpacing 2007’s “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” which achieved the feat in five days.

All of the 6 Harry Potter films have now earned P959 million and it’s now posed to be the first movie franchise to hit P1 billion in the country. The final two Harry Potter films are set to be shown in 2010 and 2011.

According to Hollywood.com, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” from Warner Bros. beat the old record for Wednesday midnight screenings of $18.5 million held by 2008 Batman movie “The Dark Knight.”

The highest one-day U.S. box office record belongs to “The Dark Knight,” which debuted on a Wednesday last summer to $67.1 million and went on to $203.7 million in its first five days. It earned $1 billion worldwide throughout its run in theaters.

Harry Potter 6 is now posed to break The Dark Knight’s record and even beat Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen as the no. 1 movie of the year.

The five previous “Harry Potter” movies already raked-in a whopping $4.5 billion worldwide making it one of the most successful movie franchises of all time.

The 19-year-old young superstar gets pretty personal in his interview with the mag. Some highlights from his interview:

On his religion: “I’m an atheist, but I’m very relaxed about it,” he says, before joking: “There we go, Dan, that’s half of America that’s not going to see the next Harry Potter film on the back of that comment.”

On going through puberty on set: “There was a period when we were the only boys and girls any of us knew, so you know, we were all unbelievably horny from about the third film to probably about the end of the fifth. Then it all settled down. But, God, for a few years…”

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince opens in theaters worldwide, on July 15 and in the Philippines on July 16.
