Jackie Rice started her showbiz career after being named StarStruck 3 Ultimate Female Survivor. After winning the reality talent search, she appeared on various GMA programs like Encantadia, Fantastikids, Love to Love, Princess Charming, Fantastic Man, Dyesebel, Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang, Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat sa Akin, Ikaw Sana, Darna, Bubble Gang, Panday Kids and Ilumina.

Her first starring role in a one-off drama anthology was in 2006 where she portrayed herself in the Jackie Rice Life Story of Magpakailanman. Her first starring role in a weekly drama anthology was in 2010 in Dear Friend: Tisay.

This 2011, Jackie Rice bagged her biggest role to date – a title role in an afternoon teleserye. She will topbill “Sisid,” an afternoon soap opera under the Dramarama sa Hapon block of GMA. It will replace Kris Bernal‘s “Koreana” which is about to air its last episode on February 25, 2011.

Jackie’s leading men in Sisid are JC Tiuseco, Ian Batherson, and Dominic Roco. It is set to air its pilot episode on February 28, 2011.

Romano (Cesar Montano) is a simple farmer who accidentally finds himself amidst the power struggle of the white and black sorcerers. He has a loving wife named Elsa (Ara Mina), who will help Romano get through the situations they find themselves in.

Little does the couple know that the search of the sorcerers for the elusive Ilumina will intertwine the lives and loves of their own children – formerly conjoined twins Romana (Rhian Ramos) and Krisanta (Jackie Rice).

Despite their opposite personalities, the twin sisters still profess similarities as they like most of the same things. The twins’ relationship starts to falter, however, when Romana discovers she has a telekinesis power. This leaves the powerless Krisanta extremely envious, and that the only magical thing she has is a streak of veins on her cheek that becomes prominent when she gets angry or emotional.

Regardless of their differences, Romana loves her twin sister very much still. The real conflict between the two only arises when they meet Iñigo (Aljur Abrenica), a wealthy, free-spirited young man who has been longing for the attention of his father. He will be the love interest of both Romana and Krisanta.

Unknown to the twins, the mysterious Elvira (Jean Garcia) has been keeping tabs on them. “Illumina” (formerly Romana Santa, Lumina) is the highly-anticipated GMA-7 fantaserye marking the first TV pairing of Aljur Abrenica and Rhian Ramos. The primetime series will also serve as the first TV project of Cesar Montano on the Kapuso network since his transfer. It will also star Jackie Rice, Jean Garcia, Ara Mina, Paulo Avelino and Jhake Vargas.

Illumina revolves around the story of Romana and Santa, two opposing witches, one is black and the other one is white. Ara Mina and Rhian Ramos will play the white mother and daughter witches while Jean Garcia and Jackie Rice will take the roles as Black witches. Cesar, however, will be Ara’s husband.

The fantaserye is under the direction of Mark Reyes and will hit primetime television on August 2, 2010.

Darna, the country’s original Pinay superhero, faces another set of super villains that will put all her strength and powers to the test as the program enters its newest season this December on GMA Telebabad.

Starring Primetime Queen Marian Rivera as Darna, the country’s number one telefantasya continues to cater to all viewers of all ages with its remarkable stunts and adventures laced with touching storyline plus state-of-the-art effects.

After repossessing all her powers from her previous supervillains, Darna’s adventures will be more engaging as four more terrifying super creatures are about to wreak havoc every night – Serpina, Babaeng Manananggal, Babaeng Demonyita and Electra, the Queen of Planet Women.

Serpina, portrayed by Katrina Halili, is the daughter of Kobra and Babaeng Impakta. After her half-sister Valentina disappeared, Serpina has no choice but to fulfill her father’s wish – that is to multiply their race. Just like her half-sister, Serpina will also fall for Darna’s first love Eduardo (Mark Anthony Fernandez). She will do everything to get the man’s attention and get rid of Narda, the alter-ego of Darna.

Sexbomb Rochelle Pangilinan, meanwhile, will play the role of ferocious Babaeng Manananggal. She will disguise as Dr. Deborrah during the day to easily spot pregnant women and other possible victims in town then transforms as an ugly winged monster at night. The battle between good and evil continues with the arrival of the most powerful nemesis Darna could ever have – Electra, the Queen of Planet Women.
