VJ Janine and VJ Nel are the latest addition to the exciting roster of MYX VJs which includes Luis Manzano, Iya Villania, Nikki Gil, Bianca Roque, Chino Lui Pio and Robi Domingo.

Janine and Nel emerged victorious among the hundreds of hopefuls who tried out for the MYX VJ Search this year, taking on every challenge as best as they could from the audition phase until the finals night. A former marketing specialist, Janine quit her job as soon as she found out that she was one of the finalists. This 24-year old girl who can produce “a million and one facial expressions” wanted to try different things and experience freedom as opposed to the life she led when she was still stuck in a desk job. Aside from her gorgeous looks, her contagious energy sets her apart. You can see her being wacky in front of the camera and behind it, laughing out loud with her co-finalists and just having a good time even with the pressure of the competition. The other MYX VJ Search winner comes in the form of this 19-year old mestizo-looking guy who can very well pull off Michael Jackson’s signature moves and sing along with it. Nel, short for Nelsito, has the face and talent to boot which he showcased in the local production of “High School Musical”. Music is everything to him as he enjoys both local and foreign acts. You’ll see him doing Justin Timberlake and James Brown’s moves as well as banging his head to the music of the hottest local bands. This home-schooled guy will now have to face the challenges of being a new MYX VJ. But for sure, he can dance it out just fine. 22-year-old Janine and 19-year-old Nel bested 9 other finalists as they were announced the winner last night at the 2009 MYX VJ Search finals held at the Activity Center of the SM Annex in North Ave., EDSA, Quezon City.

Miko Morente, 19, a student and part-time model
Miki Hahn, 20, a budding recording artist and student
Sarah Gaugler, 22, a visual artist, musician and tattoo artist
Toff Tiozon, 25, a former Batibot cast member and graphic artist

Celebrity VJs Iya Villania and Luis Manzano, the hosts of the even, announced that two present VJs will be leaving MYX.
