Yesterday, Simon said “atrocious”, pertaining to his performance. Tonight, Jason Castro got the boot from American Idol Top 4 results show. Who joined her in the bottom 2? Of course, it’s Syesha Mercado, season 7’s 3rd placer. David Cook is this season’s runner-up to David Archuleta, the new American Idol. OMG, i’m seeing the future just like Paula!
American Idol Top 5 – Neil Diamond Week
On the American Idol top 5 performance show, each finalist sang two songs. This week’s theme was songs by singer-songwriter Neil Diamond.

Last week on American Idol, the 3 remaining guys hit their all-time best performances. Big thanks to Mariah Carey, who was their mentor in the “Mariah Carey” week.
Just like David Cook, Jason Castro received rave reviews for his arrangement and interpretation of “I Don’t Wanna Cry”, a Mariah Carey ballad which was a huge hit in the 90s. The rendition was unique and Jason made the song his own as if it was a brand new single being released.
