In the film, Dale, who’s engaged to be married to his beloved fiancée, has been struggling to maintain his self-respect against the sexual harassment from Dr. Harris when she suddenly turns up the heat. The only thing that would make the daily grind more tolerable for Dale and his two friends Nick (Jason Bateman) and Kurt (Jason Sudeikis) – who both suffer evil employers, too — would be to grind their intolerable bosses into dust. Quitting is not an option, so, with the benefit of a few-too-many drinks and some dubious advice from a hustling ex-con, the three friends devise a convoluted and seemingly foolproof plan to rid themselves of their respective employers…permanently. There’s only one problem: even the best laid plans are only as foolproof as the brains behind them.

“I’ve never played a character so inexcusably raunchy and there was no way I could resist it — the dialogue and the situations are so outrageous and fun. I jumped at it immediately,” says Aniston, who calls the movie “a guilty pleasure for people unhappy in their jobs, to maybe go and get it out of their system by rooting for these guys.

“It really stretches the limits and crosses boundaries and Dr. Harris is way out in front on all counts: guilty as charged,” she adds.

“What I love about the character is how masculine she is in her sexual appetite. As Jennifer and I discussed in rehearsals, Dr. Harris is a predator, like a lion. They don’t feel one way or another, they just have to feed,” says director Seth Gordon. “It was really important to find an actress who could play Julia with all the intensity and delicious naughtiness the role deserves, and I thought it would be even better if it was someone audiences wouldn’t expect. This is radically different from any role her fans have ever seen her in before and she just kills; you have to see it to believe it. It’s electrifying to hear her deliver this dialogue. She’s absolutely fearless and hilarious.”

Aniston previously starred with Jason Sudeikis in “The Bounty Hunter” and with Jason Bateman in last year’s romantic comedy “The Switch,” but met Charlie Day for the first time on “Horrible Bosses.” Recalling the potentially awkward scenario of their first scene together, she says, “Within 20 minutes, I was straddling him in lingerie. But Seth never stopped laughing and we were all in perfect sync; if anything, after every take we’d be thinking, ‘let’s push it a little further.’ I was bizarrely comfortable in these scenes, almost more so than I would be playing the normal girl-next-door, and every scene was kind of crazy but that was really the fun of it.”

Bateman was on hand to sing her praises. “I don’t feel nearly as lucky as the sidewalk, because the sidewalk — for years long after we’re all gone — gets to now include, poured into its rigid cement, a woman whose spirit is every bit as solid, whose integrity is every bit as unbreakable and whose body is every bit as hard,” Bateman said.

When more lies backfire, the assistant’s kids become involved, and everyone heads off for a weekend in Hawaii that will change all their lives.

How does a single mom like Katherine, trying to get by and provide for her two kids, get roped into Danny’s outrageous scheme? “She’s just exhausted by him,” says Aniston. “She feels she has to help him save himself from his own web of lies, even though she doesn’t approve. When she’s in the middle of it, you can see her thinking, ‘How did I get on board with this?’”

But she does help, because Danny and Katherine have a unique relationship. “They work together and have a great relationship – she thinks he’s funny and he obviously cares about her, and even though he lies to everybody else, he always tells her the truth. She’s the only one who knows what he’s really like,” says Aniston. “She can’t help but like him, even when she thinks he’s been acting like a pig.” When he convinces Katherine that he is done playing the field and ready to settle down with Palmer, she does what any friend would do and helps.
But that’s just the start – as Danny and Katherine attempt to keep up the charade, the lie keeps getting bigger and bigger. “Every lie has a domino effect,” says director Dennis Dugan.

Before Katherine knows it, her kids, Maggie and Michael, have been looped into the lie, but they’ll need a little more convincing… especially when Michael sees a way to turn the tables on Danny. “I couldn’t believe how quick and funny Jennifer is,” Sandler says of his co-star. “I know she is funny in real life, but it was pretty amazing when we were together how much fun we had and how she added and ended up beating me in scenes. I’d walk back to the trailer saying, ‘I gotta get some writers to help me.’”

Aniston said their onscreen movie banter was a blast. “I loved it! It was so much fun… We had, as we call it, a nice verbal tennis match.”

At the center of “Just Go With It” is an everyday guy who has let a careless lie get away from him. “At the beginning of the movie, my character, Danny, was going to get married, but he gets his heart broken,” says Adam Sandler. “The night of his heartbreak he happens to have the ring on and a young lady is nice to him, because she thinks he’s married and thinks he’s harmless and won’t do anything that other guys were trying to do. A light goes off in his head.”

The ring becomes his scheme to avoid getting his heart broken: the ladies think he’s off the table, and with no strings attached, no one gets hurt – especially not Danny. “There’s a specific way that we work together,” Dugan adds. “Adam and I have a similar approach to comedy. As crazy as it gets, we try to base it in reality. We tell all the actors who work with us that everybody can get as crazy as they want, but we try to keep it all in the same style.”
