From the team that brought the “Pirates of the Caribbean” trilogy to the big screen, Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films present PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME, an epic action-adventure set in the mystical lands of Persia. A rogue prince (Jake Gullenhaal) reluctantly joins forces with a mysterious princess (Gemma Arterton) and together, they race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time—a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.

Disney has released the first set of movie posters for the said film, the one showing Jake as the Prince of Persia and the other showing the gorgeous Gemma Arterton, Jake’s leading lady.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is based on the massively popular series of videogames, the story sees Gyllenhaal as a ‘rogue prince’ Dastan and Gemma Arterton as ‘mysterious princess’ Tamina, who reluctantly team up to safeguard an ancient dagger that could release the Sands of Time, allowing its possessor to reverse time and rule the world.

Also starring in the movie are Ben Kingsley (Gandhi) and Alfred Molina (Spider Man 3) under the helm of Mike Newell, director of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Prince of Persia is coming to theaters on May 28, 2010.
