Jesse Robredo, the Secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), was found dead after 3 days of searching for his body following the plane crash last Saturday.
According to a report by ABS-CBNNews.com, Robredo’s body was found inside the plane’s fuselage this morning around 8:15am, August 21, as confirmed by DOTC secretary Mar Roxas. Divers found the plane’s fuselage at the bottom of the ocean around 7:30am and eventually found Robredo’s body inside.
Search operations are still ongoing for the retrieval of the remains of two other pilots Capt. Jessup Bahinting and Nepalese Kshitiz Chand.
Secretary Jesse Robredo was 54-years-old. He is survived by his wife, Atty. Lenny Robredo, and three children.
His remains were brought to his home city of Naga this afternoon.
