Kambal sa Uma registered a finale episode of 22% in the national tv ratings of TNS which is 3% higher from its viewership average. It’s interesting to note that Kambal sa Uma also topped the daytime race nationwide when it aired its pilot episode last April 20, 2009.

On the other hand, Nagsimula sa Puso, garnered 17.8% on its pilot episode sharing the 2nd place position with “Ang Lalaking Nagmahal sa Akin.” But if we are to compare “Nagsimula” to the pilot episode episode of “Uma”, the Shaina Magdayao-Melissa Ricks starrer had a stronger debut by virtue of its 25.8 percent that it garnered from the TNS nationwide survey.

Kambal sa Uma, starring Melissa Ricks and Shaina Magdayao, is a television remake by the kapamilya network based on the graphic novel by Jim Fernandez and Ernie Santiago. It was also made into a movie starring Rio Locsin in the late 70s.

In the television remake, young actress Melissa Ricks plays the role of Ella – a half-human half-rat character, Shaina Magdayao plays the role of Vira, and Rio Locsin, who played the original Ella in the movie adaptation, now plays the role of Milagros – Ella’s mother.

The fantaserye registered 25.8% last April 20 to top the daytime race. GMA’s newest game show Hole in the Wall, on the other hand, trumped Pinoy Bingo Night on its debut yesterday.

Kambal sa Uma was created by novelists Jim Fernandez and Ernie Santiago and first published on Pinoy Komiks. It was adapted to movie by well-acclaimed director Joey Gosiengfiao and stars Rio Locsin as Ella, Orestes Ojeda, Al Tantay, and Julie Ann Fortich. Introducing then were showbiz siblings Dennis Roldan and Isabel Rivas.
