Piolo Pascual is the Next Guest Star in ‘May Bukas Pa’?

More than 20 stars have guest-appeared in the top-rating teleserye “May Bukas Pa” but, the big question is, who are next in line?

The official multiply site of May Bukas Pa is conducting a survey on who the viewers want to see next on the show.

Choices include five most sought-after actors of today namely, Jericho Rosales, Piolo Pascual, John Lloyd Cruz, Diether Ocampo and Sam Milby. To date, Piolo Pascual leads the opinion poll with 2,335 votes.

For the meantime, in the coming episodes of the well-loved series, the probationary custody of Santino (Zaijian Jaranilla) is granted to Father Jose (Dominic Ochoa). A change of heart happens to Malena (Dina Bonnevie) and starts being kind to Santino.

Many viewers have hated and abhorred Malena’s cruel attitude towards Santino. “Siguro Malena has joined the circle of the most hated character on Philippine television dahil sa sama ng ugali niya, but of course naman, even bad people has the chance to redeem themselves. ‘May Bukas Pa’ Reclaims No. 1 Spot Nationwide

After losing the top spot for quite some time now, the CMMA-winning teleserye “May Bukas Pa” reclaimed leadership last night!

May Bukas Pa registered 34.8% last Wednesday night (October 21, 2009) to beat TV Patrol World in the TNS National TV Ratings.

It’s interesting to note that since GMA’s Darna entered the primetime race last September 11, 2009, May Bukas Pa lost the no. 1 position in the TNS National TV Ratings to TV Patrol World. The flagship news program of ABS-CBN has occupied the no. 1 position for more than a month until last Tuesday night.

Zaijian ‘Santino’ Jaranilla is Now a Recording Artist

After carving a niche on Philippine television, child superstar Zaijian Jaranilla or popularly known as Santino now ventures into recording.

The lead star of the award-winning teleserye will give hope and spread goodness through his inspirational talks with ‘Bro’ compiled in his album entitled “May Bukas Pa Soundtrack ‘Conversations of Bro and Santino.’” Featuring the well-loved songs of his hit teleserye ‘May Bukas Pa’ sung by the country’s most sought after OPM artists like Erik Santos, Toni Gonzaga, Rhap Salazar and Juris of MYMP.

The eight-year old actor shared the basic concept of his much-awaited album. “Magkukuwento kaming dalawa kung paano po maging mabait, paano mag-pray at paano po maging masunurin.”

Meanwhile, Zaijian’s new album is not the only evidence of his dashing courtesy and innocence. The child superstar has also confidently stroke the catwalk in the recently held Star Magic for a Cause fashion show bringing not only his commendable values but his innate charm as well. ‘May Bukas Pa’ is Back on Top of TNS Nationwide TV Ratings

Last August 25, Tayong Dalawa ruled the TNS nationwide TV ratings. But on August 26 to 27, May Bukas Pa reclaimed primetime leadership.

In 3rd place for the whole period is TV Patrol World while settling in 4th place is GMA’s Darna. The Marian Rivera fantaserye climbed to 3rd place last Thursday night while TV Patrol World dropped to 4th.

ABS-CBN’s new teleserye “Dahil May Isang Ikaw” is unchanged in 5th place while the Wedding missed the Top 10 last Tuesday and Wednesday and managed to place 10th last Thursday night.

‘Tayong Dalawa’ Steals No. 1 Spot from ‘May Bukas Pa’ in TNS Nationwide TV Ratings

May Bukas Pa regained the no. 1 position last Friday after TV Patrol World held that spot for 3 consecutive days last week. However, the no. 1 position was taken by Tayong Dalawa last Monday.

Only You took the 2nd spot last Monday night nudging May Bukas Pa into 3rd place. GMA’s Darna dropped to no. 4 nationwide.

The pilot episode of Survivor Philippines Palau failed to make it to the Top 10 as it was beaten by ABS-CBN’s the Wedding, which took the 9th position last Monday night.

‘May Bukas Pa’ Drops to 9th, ‘Survivor Philippines’ Debuts at No. 5 in Mega Manila

Rosalinda hit 33% in Mega Manila last Monday night, its highest rating so far. Thanks to Darna, GMA officially reclaimed the primetime race.

Darna registered an average rating of 43.5% on its pilot week. Darna helped other GMA programs to fly higher than before, specially Rosalinda. The Carla Abellana-starrer reached its peak rating of 33% last Monday. Adik Sa ‘Yo also experienced some boost.

Aside from Rosalinda, TV5’s Talentadong Pinoy also had its peak rating. Last Saturday, the Ryan Agoncillo-talent program registered a remarkable 30.3% to top the primetime race. This is the highest rating a TV5 program had ever got.

While Darna soars on primetime, it’s rival show May Bukas Pa falls. The former no. 1 teleserye in Mega Manila dropped to 6th place last Friday and it even dropped even lower at 9th place last Monday.

Survivor Philippines Palau, on the other hand, premiered last Monday night. It registered a strong 30.8% to finish fifth in the primetime race in Mega Manila. It wasn’t able to match the pilot episode of the 1st season which scored 31.8 percent last September 15, 2008.

‘Darna’ Poses Threat to ‘May Bukas Pa’ in the TNS Nationwide TV Ratings

The pilot episode of Darna last Monday night almost stole the no. 1 spot from erstwhile leader May Bukas Pa.

The pilot episode of Darna registered 37.6% while May Bukas Pa got 37.7%, just 0.1% short of topping the primetime race nationwide.

In the nights to come, Darna is expected to fly even higher specially when Marian Rivera is revealed with her Darna costume.

TV Patrol World received 35.9% which is good for third followed by Tayong Dalawa with 34.9%. In 5th place is Angel Locsin’s Only You which garnered 32 percent.

ABS-CBN Hits Top 3 in Total Urban Luzon TV Ratings From July 19 to 25

ABS-CBN placed it’s 3 primetime series in the Top 30 highest-rating shows in Urban Luzon based from the overnight tv ratings of AGB Nielsen from the period July 19 to 25, 2009.

The Top 3 programs in the area were May Bukas Pa (#1), Tayong Dalawa (#2) and Only You (#3).

The highest-rating GMA show, on the other hand, was Zorro which settled on no. 4 slot followed by the leading news program 24 Oras.

The highest-rating weekday daytime program was Eat Bulaga! while the no. 1 last weekend was Kapuso Mo, Jessica Sojo. TV5’s Talentadong Pinoy is still the no. 1 game/competition program.

GMA-7 still leads in terms of household ratings and audience share over its nearest competitor, ABS-CBN. Household rating: GMA-7 (15.4 percent) vs. ABS-CBN (14.7 percent); Audience share: GMA-7 (37.5 percent) vs. ABS-CBN (35.7 percent).

GMA-7 had 15 shows in the Top 30 programs, while ABS-CBN had 14 and TV5 had one.

Tayong Dalawa, Zorro and May Bukas Pa Vying for Mega Manila’s No. 1

The primetime race in AGB Nielsen’s Mega Manila tv ratings is no longer dominated by GMA 7 as two ABS-CBN drama series keep on hitting the no. 1 spot one day or another.

It’s becoming difficult for the masked crusader Zorro to maintain the no. 1 position for GMA because the 2 drama series from ABS-CBN are equally strong. Gone were the days when GMA programs dominate the Top 5 every night, and sometimes they can even strike a Top 6!

Now, primetime leadership is always up for grabs for these 3 primetime programs and the news program 24 Oras. GMA’s newest telenovela “Rosalinda” is having difficulty in penetrating the top 5 as well as other programs like The Wedding and Adik Sa ‘Yo.

The daytime race, on the other hand, still belongs to the longest-running noontime show “Eat Bulaga.” It is safe to assume that GMA is still the dominant station in the daytime race as the no. to no. 4 position is being occupied by its soap operas “Kung Aagawin Mo ang Lahat sa Akin”, “Daisy Siete” and “Ngayon at Kailanman.”

After setting a new record with 42.4% in the TNS national tv ratings last Thursday night, May Bukas Pa peaked yet again last Monday night, July 20, by garnering 42.7 percent!

The impressive performance of May Bukas Pa pulled Only You to reach the 40 percent barrier, too! Last July 20, 2009, Monday, Only You garnered 40% in the national primetime tv ratings of Taylor Nelson Sofres. This is the highest for the Angel Locsin-starrer since it’s pilot episode last April.

‘May Bukas Pa’ Sets New National TV Ratings Record

The highly-popular teleserye of ABS-CBN, May Bukas Pa, hits an all time high of 42.4% last July 16, Thursday, according to the overnight tv ratings of Taylor Nelson Sofres nationwide.

May Bukas Pa finally surpassed its peak record of 41.9% registered last April when Claudine Barretto had her guest appearance on the show. It’s new peak record is now 42.4%, which was registered last Thursday night. The show was also undisputed at no.1 in the same period.
