The Top 3 programs in the area were May Bukas Pa (#1), Tayong Dalawa (#2) and Only You (#3).

The highest-rating GMA show, on the other hand, was Zorro which settled on no. 4 slot followed by the leading news program 24 Oras.

The highest-rating weekday daytime program was Eat Bulaga! while the no. 1 last weekend was Kapuso Mo, Jessica Sojo. TV5′s Talentadong Pinoy is still the no. 1 game/competition program.

GMA-7 still leads in terms of household ratings and audience share over its nearest competitor, ABS-CBN. Household rating: GMA-7 (15.4 percent) vs. ABS-CBN (14.7 percent); Audience share: GMA-7 (37.5 percent) vs. ABS-CBN (35.7 percent).

GMA-7 had 15 shows in the Top 30 programs, while ABS-CBN had 14 and TV5 had one.

Pinoy Bingo Night ended its run last Friday placing 9th in the primetime race with 19.7 percent rating. The Kris Aquino game show lasted for only 3 months since it premiered last March 30.

As expected, ABS-CBN once again dominated the tv ratings nationwide with almost all of its shows beating their rival kapuso programs.

With the exception of the Saturday’s morning block when GMA’s children and teen shows trumped its rival shows on ABS-CBN. These shows are:

Two new programs held their pilot episodes last Monday night. GMA’s “All My Life” premiered in the pre-primetime timeslot with 17.2 percent. It wasn’t able to beat its rival, Boys Over Flowers, which garnered 27.5 percent. ABS-CBN’s The Wedding, on the other hand, debuted in the late primetime timeslot with 22 percent beating the koreanovela Cruel Love which only got 13.2 percent.

The Angel Locsin starrer premiered last April 27, 2009 placing second to May Bukas Pa. It has been in that position until on May 12 (Tuesday) when it was able to duplicate the rating of May Bukas Pa that night for a tie in the no. 1 position with 37.8 percent. On May 13, it came back to its regular second position but it was on May 14 that it was able to grab the solo lead in the primetime race for the first time.

The newest koreanovela “Boys Over Flowers” on ABS-CBN is also doing very well. Since it premiered last Monday, it has always placed in the Top 5 with the best performance last Thursday placing 3rd in the nationwide primetime race with 28.3 percent.

And as expected, the David Archuleta episode of SiS last Thursday morning trumped its rival show Ruffa and Ai. SiS got 13.2% while Ruffa and Ai garnered 7.9% SiS also entered the Top 10 at 10th place in the daytime race that day.

“Angel Locsin is back as primetime queen,” this is the bold statement of Star Cinema’s advertising and promotions head Roxy Liquigan last Thursday.

Roxy issued the statement while briefing the press regarding the highly-anticipated Mother’s Day offering of Star Cinema – “Best Friends Forever” (BFF) – starring the megastar Sharon Cuneta and the comedy queen Ai Ai delas Alas.

The topic shifted to Angel as Roxy shared the exciting line-up of ABS-CBN and Star Cinema for this year.

“We are very happy that Angel is now back in primetime. ‘Only You’ is consistently earning high ratings since it started two weeks ago,” he said.

According to him, Angel’s “Only You” is a constant second-placer to May Bukas Pa on TNS nationwide ratings and it has marked as high as 65 percent in Mindanao. Furthermore, Only You has the most number of commercials among ABS-CBN’s primetime programs.

He added that Angel’s first TV series on ABS-CBN, which is Lobo, did not only top the primetime race nationwide but even its DVD collection is a best-seller until now.

As Zorro maintained its lead in the primetime race, Totoy Bato settled for 3rd place. “Tadyang”, on the other hand, is gaining more viewership now that it’s down to its final week.

The week also ended with Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin? topping the daytime race followed by another GMA soap Paano Ba Ang Mangarap? ABS-CBN’s noontime show Wowowee settled for 3rd place.

Last Saturday, Eat Bulaga! ruled the daytime race while Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho topped the primetime race. TV5′s Talentadong Pinoy was able to maintain its good rating to place 9th.

Last Sunday, SOP captured the top spot in the daytime race followed by Joey’s Quirky World and Kay Susan Tayo. The primetime race, on the other hand, is ruled by Mel and Joey.

On April 27, Totoy Bato reclaimed it’s top position in the primetime race beating Zorro which settled in 2nd place. The first episode of ABS-CBN’s newest series “Only You” starring Angel Locsin was only able to place 10th overall with a 26.5 pilot rating.

Perennial leader May Bukas Pa once again surpassed the elusive 40% bracket in primetime viewing. Placing 3rd is TV Patrol World with 32.9% followed by Tayong Dalawa with 31.4 percent.

The highest-rating GMA program is 24 Oras in fifth position followed by Zorro in sixth. Hole in the Wall continue to beat its rival program Pinoy Bingo Night in the pre-primetime timeslot.

In the daytime race, Wowowee regains leadership from the GMA soap Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin? which settled to second place. Running in 3rd place is the Melissa Ricks-Shaina Magdayao starrer Kambal sa Uma.

Only You is set to premiere on April 27, 2009 replacing I Love Betty La Fea which is ending this month. This is the second Korean tv series adapted by ABS-CBN for Philippine television after last year’s My Girl starring Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.

According to earlier reports, the title of the Angel-Sam series was “Buhay ng Buhay Ko” but the ABS-CBN management decided to give them the Koreanovela remake instead.

Angel Locsin will be playing the role of Jillian, Sam Milby as TJ, and completing the triangle is Diether Ocampo for the role of Jonathan. At the helm is “Love Me Again” director, Rory Quintos.

Angel, Sam and Diether will start taping the series in Korea next month. The original koreanovela was set in Venice, Italy but the Philippine version will take on a more Asian feel.

Here’s the PLOT of Only You from Wikipedia:

Jillian (Angel Locsin) is a very stubborn and proud girl who has a passion for cooking. Because she does not have an interest in studying, she runs away to Italy before she graduates from high school to enroll in cooking school. Her high school friend, who loves her dearly and shares her passion for cooking, comes along with her.

TJ (Sam Milby) is from a wealthy family who owns a large hotel and various restaurants. He travels to Korea in search of his mother that abandoned his family when he was young and there he runs into Jillian. Coincidentally, Jillian had also been seeking the mother, who happens to be a chef, to learn the secrets to making great pasta. Both chance upon the mother just as she was about to get remarried to a Korean. She comforts TJ, who is distraught over his mother’s remarriage, and they spend the night together. She ends up pregnant and has to give up her dream – but does not tell TJ.

Six years later, they have all returned to live in Philippines – Jillian working low paying cooking jobs, TJ taking over the operations of his family’s restaurant, and Jillian’s friend, Jonathan (Diether Ocampo), working as a chef for one of the restaurants owned by TJ and financially supporting Jillian’s family, including the child born out of wedlock, because they have fallen on hard times. TJ still has feelings for Jillian and they run into each other just as he is looking for a new chef for his restaurant–with her in mind.

Only You is set to premiere on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida on May 2009.
