ABS-CBN news reporter Jeff Canoy proves and busts beliefs about the existence of spirits and looks into Filipino cultural practices of remembering the dead tomorrow (Oct 30) in “Patrol ng Pilipino.”

In this replay episode, Jeff gets his firsthand experience with the paranormal as he helps a grieving mother communicate with her daughter who was raped and killed through paranormal experts.
Jeff also accompanies a grandfather to a place that is believed to be a dumping site of slain victims to feel the presence of his departed wife and check if there are wandering spirits.

The media heavily reported the physical abuse case of Bonita Baran last week after she claimed she suffered from different forms of maltreatment from her employers, including being forced to eat dead cockroaches, hit in the head, and punched in the eye. Her employers also allegedly pressed hot iron on her face.
“Patrol ng Pilipino” will examine the proposed ‘Kasambahay Bill’ that stands to protect the welfare and rights of over two million domestic workers in the country tomorrow (Sept 18) after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN.
The landmark ‘Kasambahay Bill’ or House Bill 6144 was approved by the House of Representatives on the third and final reading last week in the heat of the news of Baran’s case, which was cited by the police as the worst case involving allegations of cruelty towards domestic workers in the country.
If passed into law, the ‘Kasambahay Bill’ would mandate guidelines for protection and privileges of domestic workers. What acts of employers are considered unlawful under the bill?
Meanwhile, Jacque Manabat will probe the growing number of cases of kidnapped babies, one of which was caught on a CCTV footage. ABS-CBN news reporter Jing Castaneda will examine the recently implemented ordinance in Quezon City that regulates the use of plastic bags in stores, markets, and business establishments tomorrow (Sept 11) in “Patrol ng Pilipino.”
The local government of QC saw the need to enforce the ordinance following the widespread flooding in the metro due to typhoon Ondoy and the rains brought by the monsoon winds. Non-biodegradable garbage like plastic materials are said to be the main cause of clogged drains and sewers that lead to floods.
How have vendors and shoppers reacted to the implementation of the ordinance that boosts the campaign for a cleaner city? Will other cities follow suit?

ABS-CBN’s current affairs program “Patrol ng Pilipino” will pay tribute to military men who sacrificed their lives in battle in a special episode for National Heroes’ Day tomorrow (August 28 ) after “Bandila.”
News reporter Gretchen Malalad will show the heroic tales of Second Lieutenant JD Khe and Corporal Jose Marvin Talamante Jr. whose remains lie at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Col. Ariel Querubin, meanwhile, will share the essence of receiving the Medal of Valor, the most prestigious decoration for bravery in the Philippine Armed Forces. Only a handful of soldiers were bestowed this award throughout history.
Meanwhile, Ryan Chua will outline the legislative procedures of law-making. Get to see how legislators go over proposed bills such as the contentious Reproductive Health Bill before they are ratified into law.
