After almost 19 weeks and more than 20 housemates evicted from Big Brother’s house, it’s now down to Melai, Jason, Paul Jake, Johan and Tibo vying for the title “Big Winner.”

Initial results of the official PBB poll was revealed last February 9. Paul Jake was leading with 31.66 percent. Is he still leading until tonight? We will find out.

Melai received 50% of the votes and Paul Jake is trailing in second place. Jason and Tibo are almost tied in third place. Johan, who already won a house and lot, placed last.

Big Brother is well and back inside the “Pinoy Big Brother” house after a week-long hiatus due to over-fatigue. Big Bro took back his place from Big Utol, his younger and naughty brother, who managed the house while he was gone.

But before Kuya’s surprise comeback, Big Utol surprised the housemates with new twists starting off with Charchar Change, where the rulebook was amended to shift the voting power from the viewers to the housemates.

In this fake amendment, the housemates get to choose who among the nominated housemates they want to be evicted. This was meant to test the character of the remaining housemates who will now have to eliminate housemates who have become close to them.

Barely recovering from the shock of Char-Char Change, Big Utol set another decree through the High Court of “PBB” called the “Melayo Act of 2010,” which prohibits Melai and Jason to get close to each other within three meters because the two have become too violent and physical with each other.

Jason and Melai are undeniably affected by this decree, as Melai is one of the five nominees this week and could be spending her last week inside. To strictly implement this decree, Hermes and Kath were assigned to look after the two and the other housemates also served as their bridge.

Meanwhile, the voting goes on for nominated housemates Hermes, Cathy, Mariel, Melisa, and Tibo. To “Vote to Save” via mobile, just text BB(space)NAME OF HOUSEMATE. SAM PINTO EVICTED FROM “PBB DOUBLE UP”

Model Sam Pinto is now an official “Pinoy Big Brother Double Up” ex-housemate after receiving the lowest percentage of votes in last Saturday’s (Jan 9) Live Eviction Night. One of nominated housemates Mariel, Hermes, Cathy, Tibo, and Melisa will follow her this Saturday (Jan 16). How will the housemates react especially now that they were made to believe that they and not the viewers will choose who to evict on Saturday (Jan 16)? What they don’t know is that this is just another test to see how they will deal with each other. The 19-year-old commercial model received the lowest percentage of
votes among the three nominees. And as expected, Jason, who was automatically nominated last week, received the highest percentage of votes. He has even higher votes than the scores of the two other nominees combined.

After Resiklo, the first offering of Kapuso Movie Festival, failed to beat Showtime last Monday, two more films made an attempt. Desperedas 2 starring Marian Rivera, Ruffa Gutierrez, Rufa Mae Quinto, Iza Calzado and Ogie Alcasid was aired last Tuesday. Scaregivers starring Wally Bayola and Jose Manalo was aired last Wednesday. Although both movies garnered a respectable two-digit ratings, it was enough to pull Showtime down. Manny Pacquiao and Urduja are up next.

Pinoy Big Brother double UP with the supervision of “Big Utol” in replacement of the sick big brother, on the other hand, ruled Mega Manila’s primetime race last Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Here are the points received by the four nominees:

New housemates Rob and TransPinay Rica were challenged by Big Brother to make their housemates believe that they are lovers. Their subtle and intentional slip-ups induced curiosity among other housemates, like taking a shower together.

The two seem to be winning the challenge, but Big Brother recently leveled-up the task. The new challenge: Rob to propose to Rica. Though shocked and embarrassed, Rob courageously took Kuya’s new challenge.

On the other hand in House B, real-life couple Kath and Jimson had to temporarily separate as Kath was tasked by Big Brother to pretend that she is married to Patrick.

The past few days had been emotionally tough to manage for Kath and Jim, especially when Big Brother had Kath and Patrick celebrate their “anniversary” with Jimson as their waiter. The houseband had already been dying to get close to his wife, secretly trying to get a hug at times. Meanwhile, mock husband Patrick, was missing his own wife too, who was left in the outside world. Their housemates, clueless of the task, meanwhile, adored the “romance” between the fake couple.

Jimson’s couldn’t contain his yearning for his wife and had a heated exchange with her in an attempt to express his feelings. Jimson showed signs of giving up and eventually admitted to the group that he is Kath’s real life husband.

Will the housemates continue to fight, or will they finally give in to their emotions?
