Jolo Revilla is saddened by the thought that his first ever show in ABS-CBN will be ending. But he is also excited for the next Agimat series. “Mamimiss ko talaga ito. ABS-CBN has given me the chance to prove my acting skills. And I’m more than thankful. Pero sa pagtatapos naman ng Pepeng Agimat, dapat rin abangan yung pagpasok ni Coco (Martin) bilang Tonyong Bayawak. Ibang klase ang kwento nito. Siksik rin sa mga action scenes!” Jolo shared.

Coco Martin explains his character, “Nagkataon na nagkaroon siya ng powers at ‘yun ‘yung ginamit niya para makapagligtas kahit gusto niya makaganti ‘yung power niya nagamit niya rin sa kabutihan.” The young actor added that he is still overwhelmed by the fact that he will be breathing life to a hero, “Nung bata ako, nagkukunwa-kunwarian lang ako na superhero. Kaya ngayong gaganap ako bilang isang hero, parang dream come true talaga,” Coco detailed.

Jolo Revilla, saddened by the thought that his series is nearing its concluding episode, mentioned that his whole experience portraying the role of the new ‘Pepeng Agimat’ is one of his most lesson-filled and unforgettable projects ever since he started out in show business. “Ibang klase talaga ang buong experience ko as ‘Pepeng Agimat’. Sa lahat ng naging projects ko I can say na dito sa seryeng ito ako maraming natutunan,” Jolo shared. He further added, “Nakakatawa rin isipin na tuwing may nakakakita sa akin na bata tinatawag nila akong ‘Pepeng Agimat’. Parang nadikit na rin sa akin yung character ko.”

Meanwhile, as the story of ‘Pepeng Agimat’ comes to its second to the last episode, thrilling scenes are yet to unfold. Pepe (Jolo) realizes that he only has one choice to defeat Lucio (Ping Medina) and that is to use the ritual that his father did in order to imprison Amang Aswang in the past. But this ritual could cost him his life.

Pepeng Agimat, scoring 26.4% in the nationwide ratings last Saturday, has maintained its supremacy on its timeslot. Jolo Revilla explained that there are no words to describe how happy he is with the success of his first lead role on Saturday primetime. “Hindi ko maidescribe ang nararamdaman ko. Ibang klaseng pressure ang idinulot sa akin nitong project na ito dahil mataas ang expectations ng Dad ko sa akin. Lalo na si Lolo. Ngayon na nakikita ko talaga ang resulta, relieved na ko talaga. Masarap at masaya.”

Meanwhile, in the next episodes of ‘Pepeng Agimat’, Lora (Melissa Ricks) plans to defeat Lucio (Ping Medina) with the help of the other aswangs. When Pepe (Jolo) learns about this, he tries to stop Lora because he knows that Lucio is too powerful for the aswangs to handle.

Jolo Revilla, lead star in ABS-CBN’s version of Pepeng Agimat, has executed the action scenes in the said television series very well, impressing the show’s director, Dondon Santos.

“Bumilib ako kay Jolo. Hindi ko inasahang magiging maayos agad o smooth ang kalalabasan ng action scenes. Pinadali ni Jolo ang trabaho ko bilang director dahil ang bilis niya makakuha ng instructions. Mukhang nagmana nga si Jolo sa kanyang Lolo at ama pagdating sa acting. Pwedeng maging action star.” Direk Dondon shared. The well-known director added, “Dapat nilang abangan yung mga maaksyong tagpo ngayong Sabado dahil tiyak na hahanga ang mga viewers sa ipinakita ni Jolo.”

“Kinabahan ako siyempre. Kahit dad ko siya, may pressure pa rin. Kasi ginampanan niya rin dati yung role ko ngayon. Nervous ako dahil ayoko naman sila ma-disappoint sa performance ko as “Pepeng Agimat” kaya lagi kong ibinibigay ang best ko,” Jolo shared. “Pero excited at handa rin naman talaga ako noon na makasama ang dad ko sa eksena. Nakikipagsabayan rin ako sa kanya siyempre.”

Jolo also mentioned that his father was a hands-on mentor. “Magaling na mentor ang daddy ko. In fact noong magkasama kami sa set, nagpapractice kami ng lines namin ng sabay. It’s nice to feel and see kung gaano ka-supportive yung dad ko sa akin.”

According to Agimat’s production team member, it was a delight to watch the father and son on the small screen. “Nakakatuwa panoorin yung mag-ama na magkasama sa isang eksena. We rarely see them together act in one scene kasi kaya nakakatuwa silang mag-ama pagmasdan na umarte ng sabay.”

On the other hand, Pepeng Agimat scored a 34.6 rating in the national survey results provided by TNS, topping the Saturday list of shows.

This is the second consecutive week that Agimat: Ang Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla topped the nationwide race for Saturday. Sharon, on the other hand, was last Sunday’s over-all leader.
