GMA-7’s Line-Up of New Shows for 2nd Quarter of 2009

A social-relevant documentary, a hilarious game show, the comeback of the top-rating reality program, a romantic comedy series, a boxing match and a reality talent competition are among GMA-7’s interesting line-up of new shows this second quarter of 2009.

World View Presents: Think Positive! – A special documentary about HIV and AIDS in the Philippines with Vicky Morales as host airs on April 12, Sunday at 10:30 P.M.

Hole in the Wall – The Philippine version of a popular Japanese game show to be hosted by the funny tandem of Ogie Alcasid and Michael V. in their Yaya and Angelina character. The fun begins on April 20, 2009.

The Power of 10 – The Philippine version of the US game show about surveys airs every Saturday nights after Kap’s Amazing Stories beginning May 10, 2009.

Are You the Next Big Star? – GMA’s newest reality talent competition to be hosted by Regine Velasquez. Airs every Saturday after Pinoy Records starting May 16, 2009.

Survivor Philippines – The Philippine version of the very first reality competition on tv is now on its 2nd season. Coming soon in the Telebabad block of GMA.

Adik Sa ‘Yo – Also coming soon in Telebabad is a romantic dramedy series topbilled by Jolina Magdangal, Marvin Agustin and Dennis Trillo.

Summer Sarap – A GMA News and Public Affairs Special on May 3, Sunday at 10:30 p.m.

The Kapuso network launched their line-up of new programs and tv specials this month dubbed as “Matinding Marso.”

ALL ABOUT EVE – The Philippine version of the hit Korean tv series starring Iza Calzado, Richard Gomez, Sunshine Dizon, Jean Garcia, Eula Valdez, Mark Anthony Fernandez and Alfred Vargas. Pilot episode on March 9, 2009 under the Telebabad block.

ZORRO – The Philippine version of the Mexican legend starring Richard Gutierrez in the lead role. Pilot episode on March 23, 2009 under the Telebabad block.

DAPAT KA BANG MAHALIN? – The first leading role of Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal in the top-rating Sine Novela of GMA. Pilot episode is on March 2, 2009 under Dramarama sa Hapon.

CHIL PRINCESSES – The newest Koreanovela starring Park In Hwan, Kim Hae Sook, Kim Hye Sun & Lee Tae Ran to hit the afternoon block. Pilot episode is on March 16, 2009 under the Dramarama sa Hapon block.

GOKUSEN 3 – GMA’s latest Japanese series starring Nakama Yukie and Matsumoto Jun. Pilot episode is on March 23, 2009 under the Dramarama sa Hapon block.

SRO CINEMASERYE – Thursdays after Fated to Love You beginning on March 12, 2009.

WOW HAYOP – An animal show under the Bilib Ka Ba Nights of GMA. Pilot episode is on March 18, 2009 after Fated to Love You.

JOEY’s QUIRKY WORLD – The newest outdoor game show from Japan replacing Takeshi’s Castle. Hosted by Joey de Leon every Saturday and Sunday mornings.

COOL CENTER – The newest kapuso program every Saturday night. Hosted by Eugene Domingo and Anjo Yllana. Pilot episode is on March 14, 2009 after Imbestigador.

BINIBINING PILIPINAS 2009 – Coronation night on March 7, 2009 under the SNBO block.
