Maricel Soriano reunites with Gabby Concepcion in the 2011 MMFF entry from Regal Films titled “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.” Maricel and Gabby both starred in the 80′s film of the same title which was also produced by Regal, however, this upcomming MMFF movie is totally different according to its director Jun Lana.

Also starring in “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow (2011)” are Carla Abellana, Jericho Rosales, Agot Isidro, Ronaldo Valdez, Solenn Heussaff, Dennis Trillo, Paulo Avelino, Lovi Poe and introducing TV5′s Star Factor winner Eula Caballero.

After appearing in various movies left and right this year, Lovi Poe will now topbill the Regal Films Halloween offering and horror remake “Aswang” previously starred by Alma Moreno.

“Aswang” is directed by Jerrold Tarog and also stars Paulo Avelino, Jillian Ward, Mark Abaya, Nina Jose, Joem Bascon, Bembol Rocco and Lara Quigaman, and introducing controversial young actor Albie Casiño on his big screen debut.

In a video interview on the Philippine Star’s website, Robin Padilla confirmed the reports regarding his upcoming team up with GMA-7′s Primetime Queen, Marian Rivera. He revealed that he has already met with Regal matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde regarding the exciting project.

“Nag-meeting na kami ni Mother, maganda ang konsepto..matindi. Humanda ka Marian Rivera…magte-training ka sa akin!,” he said.

“Idol,” who has been with GMA-7 for around three years before has never had an opportunity to work with what he considers the “Queen” of Kapuso Network.

“Si Marian ang masasabi nating reyna ng GMA. Isang malaking karangalan. Ang ganda niya! Ano pa bang hihingin ng isang leading man? Wala nang hihilingin ang isang leading man,” he said.

Regal Films is reportedly eyeing the Valentine’s 2012 season for the release schedule of the Robin Padilla-Marian Rivera movie.

The remake stars Marian Rivera, Solenn Heusaff, Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe, Mikael Daez, Aljur Abrenica, John Lapus, Tom Rodriguez and Rufa Mae Quinto.

“Temptation Island” opens in theaters nationwide tomorrow, July 6.

Magbabalik sa big screen ang 80s hit na Joey Gosiengiafio classic, ang “Temptation Island” na unang ginawa ng Regal Films. Tampok sa klasikong pelikula ang mga sikat sikat na mga beauty queen gaya nina Dina Bonnevie, Azenith Briones, Bambi Arambulo at Jennifer Cortez. Matapos ang mahigit isang taong pagpapalit-palit ng female cast, nabuo na rin finally ang movie mula sa panulat at direksyon ni Chris Martinez. Napunta naman kay Lovi ang role ni Jennifer na isang bratinela with matching yaya sa isla na ginampanan naman ni Rufa Mae na unang ginawa ni Deborah Sun.

Kahit grabe ang tindi ng sikat nga araw sa Ilocos na halos ikasunog ng mga kutis , masaya si Marian sa bonding na nangyari sa unang shooting days ng girls.

“Masaya kasi nagkakaroon ng bonding ang mga girls. Maganda pa ‘yung lugar. Sobra nga lang ang init. Sobrang love ko talaga ang Ilocos!” pahayag ni Marian.

Wala namang pakialam si Heart kung masilip ang singit-singitan sa punit-punit niyang gown.

“This is the shortest skirt na sinuot ko! Para na siyang half panty, half gown! Ha! Ha! Ha! Pero masaya talaga ang bonding naming!” kuwento naman ni Heart.

Minani naman ni Solenn ang init sa disyerto habang nagsusyuting. “This is five star desert Survivor Philippines!” pagmamalaki ni Solenn.

Sina Rufa at Lovi ang madalas naman magkaeksena kaya naman hindi sagabal ang tsismis na pinag-aagawan nila si Fabio Ide upang hindi nila paghusayan ang mga eksena nila.

Matitindi pang eksena ang nakahandang gawin ng mga girls ng “Temptation Island” pero sigurado na na magkakarooon ng patalbugan, paseksihan at pagalingan sa kani-kaniyang role sa bagong version ng pelikulang hinding-hindi puwedeng mabura sa history ng pelikulang Pinoy!

The film stars the Valentines Box Office King Richard Gutierrez as a novelist searching for a girlfriend with Jillian Ward as his little sister who will have a cupid-like purpose in the movie.

The film has three romantic stories:

“Soulmates” tells of a relationship that started with a vehicular accident involving Richard and Rhian Ramos, a fashion stylist. Richard dies and appears to Rhian as a ghost to ask for help in going back to his family. Eventually, they get closer to each other but what else can happen to them if Richard is already a ghost?

Another story features Richard’s team-up with Survivor Philippines’ Solenn Heussaff in “BBFF”. Richard plays the role of a lawyer who decides to propose to his best friend Solenn. However, the latter prefers that they remain friends due to her beliefs and notions on friendships turning into romantic relationships. She then sets up Richard with Lovi Poe and the two hit it off. Will Solenn regret her match-making in the end?

The trilogy also includes “Gunaw”, an apocalyptic tale with ace comedienne Eugene Domingo. Uge convinces Richard that they have a mission to procreate because they are the only humans left after a worldwide disaster. Will Richard give in to Uge for the sake of humankind?

“My Valentine Girls” is set to open in theaters on February 9, 2011.
