Isra-Jeron lip-synched to Sarah G’s “Forever’s Not Enough.” His facial impressions were right on that’s why the audience and the judges enjoyed his number. One of the PGT judges, Kris Aquino, even asked him to act like Sarah G. by doing some lines from the movie “A Very Special Love” with Luis Manzano as “John Lloyd.” He passed the challenge and entertained everyone.

Bottom line: he got three yeses!

There’s something about the singing of Philippine National Anthem in every boxing match of our Pambansang Kamao Manny Pacquiao that brings out the nationalistic spirit of every Pinoy. Rayver signed a movie contract with Star Cinema for a romantic movie pairing him with Sarah Geronimo.

“Basta may gagawin kami ni Sarah na movie pagbalik niya galing States, kasama din sina Toni (Gonzaga) at Vhong (Navarro). Ngayon pa lang, nararamdaman ko na yung pressure kasi ‘di ba ang tagal ko din bago nagkaroon ng talagang matinong trabaho. So gagawin ko lahat ng dapat gawin para at least mapaganda or mas maging maayos yung gagawin ko ngayon,” he reveals.

Rayver admitted that he and Sarah are always keeping in touch even though the latter is currently on tour abroad.

“Basta nangangamusta ako sa kanya through text. Hindi ko kasi alam kung nakapagpa-roaming siya pero at least siguro yung sa akin natatanggap naman niya. Oo [nagre-reply naman siya] tapos kapag hindi kaya, through e-mail nangugumusta ako,” he said.

The clamor for a Sarah-Rayver love team started last year when rumors about their “mutual understanding” began to spread. They already have a fans club called “Saver”, a coined term joining the names of Sarah and Rayver.

The people from the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Awards picked Sarah Geronimo as this year’s Box Office Queen for her launching movie last year A Very Special Love although the MMFF 2008 movie Ang Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat starring Ai Ai delas Alas outgrossed the first John Lloyd-Sarah movie.

The dilemma with the Ai Ai movie is that its screening period is from December 25, 2008 until the whole month of January 2009. It’s total gross of P197 million will be counted in the year 2009 so the official top-grosser of 2008 is still A Very Special Love.

Ai Ai delas Alas would have been running for Box Office queen title next year but Sarah Geronimo’s You Changed My Life movie has already outgrossed her film. So it’s most likely that next year’s box office queen is still Sarah Geronimo unless another movie that will be shown this year outgrosses You Changed My Life.

For John Lloyd Cruz, however, it will be his 2nd consecutive year to become Box Office King.
