They first touched viewers’ hearts as Pepper and Rei in the Bud Brothers series as many found themselves hooked to their love team and undeniable on screen chemistry. Because of the demand from the fast growing number of fans and supporters, the Kaye Abad and Guji Lorenzana tandem will once again be seen for the second time around.

Kaye narrated that she was very excited when she found out about the story and how some of the scenes, specifically the love scene, would be done. “Nae-excite ako dun kasi madre ako and at the same time may gusto siya sa akin. Pano niya ako aakitin, kung ano yung mangyayari… Talagang dapat mapanood ito ng mga viewers.” Guji also admitted that the two are now much more comfortable and at ease working together.

Director Cathy Garcia-Molina was all smiles doing the project. She shares why she enjoyed directing the two young actors, “Totoong tao kasi si Femi, nagkakamali, kumakapit sa patalim, gumagawa ng mga kasinungalingan pero ang laging mahalaga naman is yung redemption after, what you learn after the mistake. Not only her, but also Aaron. Two flawed characters na matututo towards the end.”

She also added that Kaye and Guji have become very close off cam. When asked whether the two have a brewing romance together, the well-known director laughed and stated that viewers should just catch their ‘sweetness’ on screen. The question everyone is now asking: Is there real life romance between Kaye and Guji?

The story revolves around two totally opposite people – Femi (Kaye), a no non-sense woman who is used to hard work and who only wants to help her family get a better life and Aaron (Guji), a rich loner whose only dream is to be an artist, which goes against his dad’s plan for him. Femi has a huge crush on campus heartthrob Aaron and eventually, they get along well with each other.

They will once again meet in a reunion 10 years after only to find out a shocking revelation – Femi is now a nun! Will there still be hope for a second chance on love?

Somewhere in My Heart is the third installment of the kapamilya soap Precious Hearts Romances after the second featured book “Ang Lalaking Nagmahal sa Akin” starring Toni Gonzaga and Derek Ramsay. Returning as love team are Kaye Abad and Guji Lorenzana, who both appeared in Bud Brothers.

In an interview with ABS-CBN.com, Kaye Abad expressed her gratitude to her home network for entrusting her with this project.

“Excited na meron na kaming sarili naming series. Sa Bud Brothers kasi parang one week lang ‘yung story namin. This time mas mahaba na ‘yung kwento namin. Kumportable na kami sa isa’t isa. Naka-build na rin kami ng mas malalim na friendship ngayon,” she said.

The love team of Kaye and Guji gained such a fan following in Bud Brothers that’s why the network gave them their own series. Since they now have regular roles on tv, Kaye and Guji are becoming more comfortable with each other which is crucial in the success of their love team since their roles are demanding not just kissing scenes but “love” scenes.

As with other love teams, Guji and Kaye are being rumored to be playing their roles in real life. Guji denied the said speculations saying he doesn’t want to ruin his friendship with Kaye. Guji also admitted that he’s not yet ready to have a new relationship because the reason why he came back to the Philippines is because he’s been brokenhearted in the States.

Precious Hearts Romances Presents Somewhere in My Heart is helmed by box-office director Cathy Garcia-Molina. It is premiering soon under the Hapontastic block of ABS-CBN.
