The musical program of Regine Velasquez entitled “Songbird” debuted last May 15 on a Thursday night but it didn’t take-off. It was beaten by the koreanovela “Lovers” on ABS-CBN. The next week, it suffered again from poor ratings until the management of GMA decided to change it’s timeslot.

Songbird is an upcoming weekly musical show on GMA featuring the ultimate diva Regine Velasquez. Each episode, Regine will sing some of the most popular songs and compositions of some of the world’s best singers and composers. This will start airing on May 15, Thursday, after The Legend on GMA.
