Kilala si Betong bilang maalalahanin at palabirong kaibigan, inamin niyang hindi siya makapaniwala sa nakamit na tagumapay kaya ganun na lamang ang kanyang kasiyahan.
Nagkamit si Betong ng 3 million pesos in cash bilang grand prize. “Dito sa Survivor, pwede pa lang pumayat, hindi pala mahirap at may pag-asa pala. Kasi sumali ako sa Survivor na obese at may highblood, hindi pala mahirap. At the same time, hindi ko inakala na kaya palang mag-survive sa isla nang kaunting kanin at tubig lang plus the environment ‘pag umuulan, natutulog ka nang basa. Natutunan ko na huwag na huwag mong ia-underestimate ‘yung sarili mo kasi may pwede ka palang mapatunayan.” wika ni Betong.
Masayang masaya si Betong sa premyong kanyang nataggap makakabayad na raw kasi siya sa kanyang mga utang.
Matulungin sa kapwa itong survivor na si Betong, paglabas niya sa GMA Network Studio may isang grupo ng suppoerters ang lumapit sa kanya para humingi ng pera. Hindi niya binigo ang mga ito, kaagad siyang nagbigay ng kaunting tulong sa kanila.
Bagamat walang napanalunan ni isa mang immunity challenge, maituturing siyang isang tunay na sole survivor.
