Valerie will play the role of Tin, whose body will be used by the soul of Pat after a tragic accident. Rez Cortez’s daughter, Cai Cortez, will play the role of Pat.
Valerie is thankful at the same time challenged with the new soap given to her by ABS-CBN. She’s giving her 100% to keep up with the character specially that she needs to imitate the character of Pat, the way she talks and walks, etc.
This is also the reason why Valerie is working out to lose more weight. She doesn’t want to disappoint the management and the televiewers because this is her first starring role in a teleserye since she transferred to the kapamilya network.

Vhong Navarro (D Anothers, Agent X44, Lastikman, Mr. Suave) is back on the big screen with Star Cinema’s second movie of the year, Supah Papalicious! Also starring in this upcoming comedy are Valerie Concepcion, Pokwang and Makisig Morales (Super Inggo, Pedro Penduko).

Gilbert Perez directs the script written by Jullian Abuda about a man who has to win the heart of the kid of the woman he has fallen in love with.
A boy and a girl make an album of their families and the family they want to have. But the characters on their album are paper cut outs from magazines and their own drawing. In spite of this, both still look happy and innocently in love.
With bowls of porridge, the bunch of kids swear to become family to each other. The gang is obviously the least wanted by foster parents and is in danger of reaching adulthood in the orphanage. The little girl gets adopted the following day. The little boy goes after her to say goodbye and give her the album they made. The rest of the gang follows him and they meet an exciting misadventure that includes cows, crops, the authorities, a dead man, a sinking ship, and the jungle called Metro Manila where they start their new life.
Nymfa (Pokwang) is a staff of a make-up and prosthetics artist. Macho (Empoy Marquez) is a lover boy. Macho (Mura), well, not much has changed in him since he was little. The little boy is now known as Adonis (Vhong Navarro). Together with his gang from the orphanage, they bought three food kiosks that transform to make Foodash. It is their humble source of living.
Blaming himself for his friends’ misfortune, Adonis doubts his own capabilities and always bows to his friends’ wishes. He desires only one thing, to be loved and to have a family of his own. But he doesn’t know how to get it until fate intervenes and brings Athena to Adonis’ life. They get along well and his feelings for this lovely and very caring woman just grew. However, he realizes that the only way to her heart is through Atong, her son.
For Adonis, challenging isn’t enough to describe Atong. Aside from being mischievous, he also demands one great quality from any man who wishes to have his mother: he has to come from a big family.
Desperate to have the woman and the kid he has already learned to love, Adonis does the greatest performance of his life. Using Nymfa’s props, costumes and make-up, he creates his own family in himself. Adonis becomes Tita Barbara, Lola Paulina, and cousin Apol Dayap. His ‘family’ wins Athena and Atong for Adonis. But his lie won’t last long. Athena discovers his betrayal and throws Adonis out of their lives.
Is there still hope for their funny yet poignant story? Will they still become a family?

The franchise to localize the hit Colombian telenovela, Betty La Fea, which was first shown in the Philippines by GMA-7 was bought by ABS-CBN. The kapamilya network is now in the process of casting and Valerie Concepcion is leading the list of possible actresses to play the pinoy “Ugly Betty”.
Although no one’s being selected yet, Valerie Concepcion said she’s honored and flattered for being considered for the role.
Other actresses being considered for the role are “Lobo” star Angel Locsin and “Maging Sino Ka Man” mainstays Bea Alonzo and Anne Curtis. Even Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez was also considered for the series which almost compeled the kapuso diva to transfer to ABS-CBN.
Regine mentioned on The Buzz last Sunday that she requested GMA-7 to buy the franchise of “Betty La Fea” last year only to find out that the rights was already bought by ABS-CBN. When she guested on Sharon weeks ago, an ABS-CBN official told her they would give her the role of “Betty La Fea” if she is willing to transfer “over the bakod”. But negotiations didn’t push through as ABS-CBN later denied the alleged P25 million “offer”.
