Star Cinema and Quantum Films’ Cinemalaya award-winning comedy-drama, “Ekstra” starring the Star for All Seasons, will hold its international premiere as part of this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos is all set to glitter up the center stage this Sunday (August 11) as the lead star of the award-winning comedy drama movie “Ekstra” treats TV viewers with an extraordinary afternoon in “ASAP 18.”
Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos‘ latest film, “Ekstra” (The Bit Player) bagged major honors at the recently concluded Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, where Vilma was hailed as best actress.

Brillante Mendoza, the only Filipino honored by Cannes Film Festival for Best Director, has been tapped by Star Cinema to helm an ambitious project to be topbilled by the Indie Prince and Phenomenal actor Coco Martin, the Star for all Seasons Vilma Santos and the country’s one and only Superstar, Nora Aunor.
The film is a pet project of Brillante Mendoza, who has been the mentor of Coco Martin when the “Walang Hanggan” actor is still in the Indie Films circuit.
According to reports, all the three stars are open to the idea of this big collaboration. But the possibility of this project to push through will depend on the thier schedules.
Martin’s “Walang Hanggan” is set to conclude next month. Nora Aunor, on the other hand, has commitments with TV5 while Vilma Santos, being a Governor of Batangas, is busy serving her constituents.
