Eager to have trip with her family to Hong Kong, a woman bought an “online voucher” from the Metro Deal website. After she made the purchase, the travel agency they are dealing with suddenly ceased operations and the helpless family cannot contact the online buying site anymore. As Pinky probed the matter, it turns out that the complainant is not alone and that there were other victims of this online scam.
Anthony Taberna, on the other hand, helps an OFW who bought a taxi and later on discovered that it shares the same plate number with a different vehicle, while Julius Babao probes the reason behind a man’s murder of his own wife recently in Rodriguez, Rizal. Julius Babao Probes Eye Bank’s Removal of Slain Teen’s Cornea

Broadcast journalist Julius Babao investigates the recent incident involving the Eye Bank Foundation of the Philippines whereIN it allegedly took the corneas of a slained youth leader without any permission from his family this Monday (Aug 20) on “XXX.”
The Infante family cried foul over the Eye Bank’s act that added to their grief over the killing of the young member of their family. But the Eye Bank defends itself by saying what they did “was done in good faith and in accordance with the mandate of the Eye Bank Foundation, and with utmost respect and care for Jason.”
As Julius finds solution to the Infante family’s problem, Pinky Webb and Anthony Taberna will expose the wrongdoings of an insurance agency as well as the defects in the government’s issued passports.
Pinky heeds the call of a family who has been running after the death benefits of their father from BF Insurance Corporation. Three years have passed and they are still unable to get the necessary amount from the insurance company that claims to have insufficient funds to pay them.
Anthony, on the other hand, will probe if Philippine passports are tamper-proof in the light of a legislative investigation being conducted by the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability.

Anthony Taberna Probes Inedible Rice for Flood Victims in ‘XXX’

Broadcast journalist Anthony Taberna investigates reports that the goods bought for victims of floods that hit Manila recently turn out to be spoiled and inedible.
This Monday (Aug 13) on ABS-CBN’s investigative program “XXX,” Anthony goes to the city of Taguig to find out how a rice supplier accredited by the National Food Authority sold rice that were not suitable for human consumption.
Pinky Webb revisits a group of minors called “jumper boys” who were caught on video by “XXX” boldly jumping on big trucks plying C2 Road in Tondo, Manila to steal whatever goods were on board before jumping off.
Meanwhile, Julius Babao exposes another modus operandi wherein swindlers victimize businessmen by paying them with fake checks in late afternoons when these can no longer be verified because banks have closed by then.
Julius learns from a victim in Cubao, who lost P500,000, that the swindlers would place orders in the morning and go back in the afternoon with a check payment that the victim would later discover as fake.

Anthony Taberna Investigates Unauthorized AFP Training in ‘XXX’

Anthony Taberna investigates a group in Quezon City allegedly offering unauthorized trainings to become part of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) this Monday (July 30) in ABS-CBN’s award-winning investigative program “XXX.”
A retired soldier told “XXX” that the said group promised him a sure slot in the AFP in exchange of training worth P650. But when Anthony cleared it with the AFP, they said they are unaware of the complained training camp and that they are not authorizing any private group to train for AFP.
As Anthony probes more on this new modus operandi, Julius Babao joins another “Oplan: Paglalansag” operation that aims to sequester unlicensed fire arms in preparation for the 2013 elections. The first one, which was also covered by “XXX,” was done in Nueva Ecija. Now, the PNP Intelligence group is off to Quezon province.
Meanwhile, Pinky Webb checks on rape victim “Catherine” a year after she asked for the help of “XXX.” Upon knowing the complaint, the program immediately mounted a surveillance and arrest operation on the suspect. Just recently, justice is served as the suspect was finally sentenced to prison by the court. How is she now? How is she coping with the trauma brought to her by the sexual assault?
