A new milestone marks the 25th anniversary of DZMM this year with the launch of the DZMM SilveRadyo station ID, the a grand music video highlighting the story and achievements of the number one AM radio station in Mega Manila and the country’s leading cable news channel.

Shot at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the video features Prince of Pop Erik Santos and “Star Power” female pop superstar Angeline Quinto performing the DZMM SilveRadyo jingle.

Joining them are internationally-awarded choir UP Concert Chorus, and one of Asia’s top musical ensembles, the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO), under the musical direction of Maestro Olivier Ochanine.

DZMM will unveil this grand production directed by in-demand TV director Paolo Ramos on Sunday, June 12, on DZMM TeleRadyo (SkyCable ch. 26), right after the ABS-CBN Flag Ceremony.

The jingle, composed by award-winning TV and film scorer Jesse Lasaten with lyrics by Miam Anaten of the ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management, speaks of how DZMM’s commitment to give only the best to the Filipino people continues to grow through the years. That is why for its 25th anniversary station ID, DZMM is holding nothing back by getting only the best of the best in the Philippine music industry to take part in the project.

Erik and Angeline, two of the hottest recording artists in the nation, still felt very privileged to have been invited to sing the DZMM theme and share the stage with both the UP Concert Chorus and the PPO.

“This is really a big project that any singer would want to be part of. I grew up listening to DZMM and as a music fan, I have dreamt of performing with UPCC and PPO,” Santos said.

Since its establishment in the post-Martial Law era, DZMM instantly became a bastion of freedom and eventually, the home of many of the bravest and most respected radio broadcasters.

DZMM’s groundbreaking efforts have also served as template to other media outfits in the Philippines. It pioneered the simulcast of radio programs on television with DZMM TeleRadyo. Its 24/7 audio streaming via dzmm.com.ph is also praised for keeping Filipinos here and abroad updated on the latest and most important news events and announcements.

Just like the DZMM SilveRadyo jingle goes “Sa bawat balita/Damdamin at gawa/Una sa tuwina ang kapwa.”

Catch the live performance of the DZMM SilveRadyo jingle by Erik Santos, Angeline Quinto, the UP Concert Chorus and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Olivier Ochanine on Sunday (June 12) during the ABS-CBN Flag Ceremony on Channel 2 at 9:45am.

ABS-CBN will also launch its new Lupang Hinirang video and the Bida Bayani campaign of its multi-awarded citizen journalism movement Bayan Mo, iPatrol Mo at the flag ceremony.
