The Miss Universe Organization has just sent an email to the Miss Universe national directors confirming that the 2016 edition of the pageant will indeed take place in the Philippines! The 65th edition of the most prestigious beauty pageant in the whole universe will happen early in the morning on January 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City where the reigning Queen Pia Wurtzbach will crown her successor. It will be aired live by FOX Channel in the USA on Sunday night, January 29, 2016. More than 80 candidates from around the world will arrive in Manila beginning January 13th for the pre-pageant activities. ABS-CBN is expected to make an extensive coverage of the pageant for the whole month of January.
